Guys, I have this question:

Why did Jean keep on preventing Scott from firing his optic blast at Magneto? Why the hesitation?

Was it just a matter of not seeing clearly because of the ultra-luminous radiation?

he wasent aiming at him at first she thought he was aming for the machine which would kill rough

I assumed it was because she thought it was just too risky, as Magneto was so closeto Wolverine and Rogue.

They were racing against the clock- the machine was seconds away from "mutating"/killing a majority of New York. If Wolvie couldn't stop it by that point, Cyke would have. Cyke at first was aiming at the machine (which is why Jean made him give it a few more seconds)... at the last minute he "had a shot [of Mags]", so that's when he took it.

or possibly for a dark phoenix reason she was enjoying all the screams and such around her or something?

no it wasnt that, i think she was affraid something will happened to wolverine and (whatever) rogue. and besides he looks sexy when he takes his claws out so maybe she was enjoying that (just kidding, but she should)

Lmao. It's an interesting Jean we're painting here.

I love that Cyke plays a key role in the climax.

I do believe that James had to fight for that scene. It was initially going to be Wolverine sheathing his claws and punching Magneto out.
