Laugh > Eyes

No, the Joker is much more complex than a laughing mad man - he is an inhuman, psycotic homicidal laughing mad man - as shown by his eyes, over his laugh.

Sounds good, know if they can just get the look right. Best Comic Book movie ever!

PG 13 ? Clockwerk Orange ? Yeah,yeah and yeah.

The best thing is to do it like Sin City, no PGs, do an adult hardcore Batman movie. Keep Spider-Man and Superman for kids and Batman for adults.
Jonathan Nolans Memento is great, he can improve some things missing in Goyers script for Batman Begins, especially the microwave ??? storyline in Batman Begins. No need for things like that in the sequel....Suspense Thriller, hardcore action, mass murder, tragedy, revenge, ups and downs...This will be huge, cant wait damn 2008

I think that's what WB learned.

That Batman is more like the X-MEN of the Marvel Films, where Superman should be more like the Spider-Man of the bunch.

Batman needs to be dark, and just more adult. Otherwise, you fall into the abyss that is campiness and corniness. Batman's got a bad history there....so it's best they keep him out of there.

Batman doesn´t need to be R-rated to be adult, dark and gritty. PG-13 is as far as WB will go.

I am even more excited about Ledger playing Joker now.
I knew he would do him justice and do the homework but this reference is beyond my expectations.

I was shocked when the news came out about Ledger playing the Joker, but after reading that it reassures me that he will do the character justice. I'm a noob. Yay.

YES !!!!!!!!! Batman Begins was a more mature/adult movie and they should keep it for the sequel. No kids, just hardcore. Nowadays a big part of Batman fans is not between 6-16, more like 25 and up. The new generation reads Manga comics, so they should concentrate on adults.

I have watched Sin City and some action sequences were great. I thought of:
Hey that could have been Batman jump out of the door and kick some police men, jump into a police car, fighting corrupt policemen (Loeb and others).
The action in Sin City was dark, but CLEAR. It was like... hey he crushed his teeth, broke his legs it was really hard.
A more clearer view for the action sequences is my wish for the sequel. Maybe Nolan can have a look how great action sequences can be with a clearer view. Thats my only wish for the action element. Maybe they will improve it.

I don't like the sound of this. The Joker has always been dark and sinsiter (let's forget the 60's), but to emphasise those elements alone is like castrating the character. The Droogs of Clockwork Orange are kids that rape and murder for fun. The film said everything that could be said about that element of young men's personalities. It would be tedious in a Batman film. The Joker needs to be a foil for Batman, and to do that he needs to be a very cerebral character.

I don't visit this section of the hype much, but Bats is a favorite of mine, and I am aware that everybody cried Brokeback Batman when Ledger was casted, but hell I think he's going to do great and the Joker will rule, and put Jack Nicholson's Joker to a crying shame!

In my opinion I think Ledger's Joker will blow Batman fans away.

Negative... today's make-up can do EVERYTHING!!!

You will swallow your tongue and ass when you see him!
