I only hope we see Joker with a broken face and a bloody nose, maybe even have him cry when he gets his ass handed to him by Batman!

Bale said:YES !!!!!!!!! Batman Begins was a more mature/adult movie and they should keep it for the sequel. No kids, just hardcore. Nowadays a big part of Batman fans is not between 6-16, more like 25 and up. The new generation reads Manga comics, so they should concentrate on adults.

I have watched Sin City and some action sequences were great. I thought of:
Hey that could have been Batman jump out of the door and kick some police men, jump into a police car, fighting corrupt policemen (Loeb and others).
The action in Sin City was dark, but CLEAR. It was like... hey he crushed his teeth, broke his legs it was really hard.
A more clearer view for the action sequences is my wish for the sequel. Maybe Nolan can have a look how great action sequences can be with a clearer view. Thats my only wish for the action element. Maybe they will improve it.

Thats why nolan has him inadvertently killing people.Poetic Chaos said:You can only go so dark when your protagonist doesn't kill people.
Boom said:Here's the thing. If this film is going to be as dark and mature as the crew and cast is making it out to be, it's going to lose some of its general appeal; specifically, kids. Children are a huge money draw, especially for a character like Batman.
This is exactly why I don't see this film passing, or even reaching, $300 million domestically, as Jett is so confident of. This is also why I hope the budget for this one is less than that for Batman Begins. Take out the big "blockbuster" action scenes, and make it a down-to-earth thriller/mystery/suspense story.
That's why I said "I hope."Alonsovich said:You know, I know and everybody in this forum knows there's no way in hell they're going to do that...
And then half the people on this board would be complaining non-stop "It needed more action! It needed more action!"...Boom said:Here's the thing. Poetic Chaos said:I'm tired of everyone trying to take the Bat out of Batman. You want down to earth, real, watch a documentary. This is a comic book film and not like Road to Perdition or A History of Violence or even Sin City. It's a superhero comic book movie. Quit trying to take out all the elements that make it what it is.
Oh I'm not saying don't have action. Despite the editing, Batman Begins had very good fight scenes. It just doesn't need to be:ultimatefan said:And then half the people on this board would be complaining non-stop "It needed more action! It needed more action!"...
