Read the part where Joker owns Two-Face who begs for his life, and by that part stopped reading. Seriously, while some parts are pure win, I hate the way all the villains in this are used for the sole purpose of making the Joker look way better. Penguin was just fodder, Riddler out-riddled and now dent is pleading for his life? sorry, I'm not convinced. Two-Face is notoriously known for not fearing the Joker, governed by the will of the coin not a will to live. I'll try and find the rest (I'm using the internet here) but I already smell overration after that scene.
Riddler was not out riddled. Two-face didn't fear Joker but feared the damage he could do to the people he loves. I think you should read the whole thing first before making assumptions though.
Yea Joker asks Two-Face if he was married, he responds by gravely saying "yes". I think Harvey knows what is being implied here, and so should the reader. Anyway this "begging" Harvey did was while his face was being pushed towards a snarling Baboon.

I think they may have actually been stuck IN his fingers, further cementing the fact that Joker is bat-**** crazy! I mean, who else would of thought of that!?
I think he means trying to make him seem more bad ass.
But to be honest, Joker has inspired fear in all DC villains. Theres a quote, forgot who it was by now that said whenever the villains want to scare themselves, they tell Joker stories.

i can tell by his subtle screen name that is what he means and its completely missing the point, as im sure you know, since you have actually read the book.
I dunno I like the ending. It says to me, and their fighting will continue on after this story is over. Our journey with Frost is over and Joker will be fighting batman long after we put this book down.

Well I saw the bashing a mile away but I'm still a little bruised from how harsh that was. I know I should read the rest, I've read a lot but yes I am buying eventually. I've already stated many times I'll probably love it and I did love a lot of what I read. No, that part has nothing to do with my screen name, Two-Face is one of my favourite Bat villains but so is Joker too. I just don't like when one or any other villain besides Killer Moth is used to make another look better. Having read back over that scene I now understand I was wrong on some aspects, such as the reason for Harvey's begging. Other aspects I will continue to dislike though, such as how quick Penguin is subdued, and the characterisation of the Riddler. Joker's characterisation seems off to me, as I'm a guy who prefers a Clown Prince of Crime to a gritty killer if you get my point. I can respect people's opinions if they prefer a Joker who skins a man alive but personally I find it overly grotesque. I must admit I do feel a little like trying to voice a disappointment about TDK on the other boards here, only with more intelligent replies of course. I'd just ask that you respect that some people prefer somethings to others. The book excites me but not overly so. If it odes to you then more power to you, I just don't get excitement over a Joker who rapes and skins people alive.
Two Face=Badass. No worries man of course you're entitled to an opinion, thats the beauty of the boards. But we are just giving our opinions aswell, we disagree on some things, no biggy. And I dunno, maybe there were some things you didn't understand and we are just giving our thoughts on them. There are some comics I don't get or like but after hearing other peoples thoughts I start to appreciate the material more. Sometimes i'm still meh about them though but I just like hearing other peoples takes on them.

Oh no man thanks, you are totally right, I also appreciate these things a lot more after people's opinions. I respect them, I mean, I was proved absolutely wrong on the reasons as to why Harvey begged and now I like the scene much better as an example. I look forward to finishing the tale as I expect the finale with Batman to be very juicy
I really liked it. The art was GORGEOUS. Some of the scenes were whatever, but I really liked the "episode" and then finishing it with Joker crying. As with Gotham Central, the less you see Batman the better.
I find I've seen so much Batman in my life reading comics that I get the sense he's always everywhere all at once, but with these kinds of books, it gives you the feeling of how the Bat is an urban legend. 1 or 2 panels really make an impact.
Batman's design was very well done, as well. Like a Batman Begins/Comic hybrid.
Just after the meeting at the zoo goes wrong. Joker get's out of the car whilst doing up his zipper. He does it because he feels Jonny raped Jokers trust, well thats how I took it.
What makes me wonder is how he did it so fast and with what?
Ine of my personal favorite scenes is when he meets Tommy Bang Bang. Joker greets him and says "Bang Bang" with the two fingers. Lot's of great moments. "Man I love shrimps."
"Ten percent is now off the table gentlemen. And the five percent still stands."
And when he
shoots Tommy Bang Bang, look closely and you can see the onomanopiea Bang Bang when he gets shot
And after the third time reading it, I finally got the "Who wants some rabbit" joke. t:
It wasn't until the second reading where I learned that Johnny's wife is basically forced into sex by Joker. I looked closely and saw Joker zipping up his pants and saying after Croc says how much we give her. "Whatever it was worth."
I loved the ending. The whole story is told from Johnny's point of view. And when
he dies, it fades away, why should we contunue the story from a POV who's dead?
Also, when Johnny's late and he asks if it's a problem, Joker kicks him in the balls and says, "I don't have any problems."
Did anyone else laugh when Joker is holding Two-Face near the cage and it's roaring at Two-Face and Joker slaps the monkey across the face with the glass and says, "Hands off the merchandise!"
To me, this IS The Joker. What I've had in my head all these years. An all over the map emotion type of guy. He can be happy one second and kidding or happy the next. This was spot on. Exactly how I always invisioned The Joker.
