Oh hi. Looked all over the board for a thread for this to read some opinions and stuff and it's on the first page and I
completely missed it. Gotta say, this thread's d*mn interesting. Made the thread quest full of fail well worth it.
Just read it again and it's still great. I didn't expect it to be such an engrossing read, but it definitely is. First time I was reading it in the car (I was not the driver), during the entire trip, which means it took me two hours to reach the last page. The comic's relatively short, the story seems easy enough to understand, it shouldn't take this long (from some comments I've seen here, two hours is long, heh). But there's something about it that made me stare at random pages for minutes. Not sure why that is. The art is probably one reason (love Bermejo's covers).
- Jonny's an adequate narrator, I really enjoy reading his throughts so to speak. Sure, right on page two you think 'dude, you don't wanna do this', but it's fun to watch this guy discover what he's got himself into. Question, though: at the end, is he accusing the reader (
'...I see you' etc)? I felt a lil insulted

t: But maybe he's 'talking' to someone else, who knows...
- The Batman's omni/presence was...Hm. It's like, round a corner and he might be standing there. Why would he, but you just never know. Like he's looming over their heads. Definitely felt like he was breathing down my neck from the backseats, lol. The reason why I didn't miss his physical presence till he showed up - he's there, wherever there is. (Oh, and thanks to this thread I feel incredibly stupid for not noticing him
crouching right there on the roof. It's so obvious now *palmface*). And while the Joker's rambling like crazy, all the Batman's got is one line (+ one word, but whatever). A line that most/all? of us seem to love! He's just good like that? The end is fantastic, and his boots pwn. Er...
- The Joker. Yeee-aah... Well. He's entertaining. I even like him; as much as I like TKJ!Joker, Nicholson!Joker, Ledger's TDK!Joker... I feel a little bad for that, actually, but really can't help it. He's disgusting, cruel, he's also funny in a morbid way (Captain Obvious awaaay). Sometimes he's just funny (the handsome line). He's just really entertaining. And his facial expressions're total win, especially the sad-face and the disappointed nobody-died one. Like the comedy/tragedy masks had a baby. Mental image

One of my favorite moments is when they're waiting at the door to Croc's hideout. Again, not sure why. Casual Joker amuses me, but then he's pretty casual throughout the entire story, right until the makeshift Bat Signal illuminates those clouds. Expected it sooner, when their car pulls a faceplant, and that probably ruffled him, but a couple pages later he's all calm (well, 'calm') again. He's also got those pills in hand. Seriously, what's in them, and can I have some? The bottles make me think it's prescribed meds. Robbed a pharmacy? Okay, just one more thing. There's
one panel that makes me think of TDK!Joker or rather his speech pattern:
They fix things. I've lived on them for years. Years. Years. Pills pills pills. etc. It reads a little agitated/manic.
And Harley's flamin hot. I'm not shallow, it's just so TL;DR already, sowwy.
Okay, I'll stop now. Maybe next time!
PS: Like his carved smile better than TDK!Joker's. And here I thought TDK!Joker looked like he was run over by something BIG. It was actually this one, lol. This Joker also looks
old. So, 'nother question: how old's TDK!Joker supposed to be? About Ledger's age? He looks like a baby. Don't get me wrong, I really like TDK!Joker, but. He's still a tad too... pretty. Hollywood, is that you? God, someone stop me. Or wait, I'll do it *throws self out the window*
