Being a console gamer, my biggest beef with Valve is their lack of care for the console releases. I understand they've always been a PC-based game developer primarily, but still. We still haven't got the Orange Box DLC on 360 that PC users got for free ages ago.

And I still hate that PC users will get all the crap for L4D for free and 360 users will have to pay for it. Curses.

I am the complete opposite, i cant for the life of me see how anyone can play FPS with their thumbs...................

yeah thats usually how i play my FPS' but i think this game was built for PC. i dont know why. but its loads more fun, in my opinion.

No, not with auto aim. It's very easy, I think it's just as crazy that you can't do it.

He was referring to console FPS in general, that you need auto aim to be good at it.

Don't most 360 FPSes have some degree of auto-aiming to compensate for the lack of precision with the analog sticks, though?

RSV2 had some free DLC. Halo 3 had a map that was free too.

I plan on getting this game soon, I would of today but Target didn't have any so I got TIH instead.

Anyone else think this would be a good movie? I actually started a screenplay for the film yesterday. I want to retain the elemnts from in the game but not make it be like, "Oh, that's all from the game!"

It's never a necessity. It just depends how much you want to interact with people.

I for one never play XBL with a mic.

I wont join a game if people on my team dont have mics, its worth buying one for this game imo

I can use my 360 mic for L4D (I have it on PC), but I rarely ever do. I can type pretty fast for important things and, other than that, I don't really care to talk to people. Even when I do have a mic, all I ever find myself doing are going "aah, Smoker's got me" or something game-relevant that I could type just as easily.

Yea, I'm with spidey-dude, if I'm hosting a game and you dont have a mic, you're getting kicked. Theres no excuse to be in a game like Left 4 Dead or Gears of War and not have a mic. On the harder difficulties on that game, its really helpful when your team is communicating to each other.

"This mod replaces most of the infected sounds (including the "mob scream") with phrases from former professional wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage. Most everything except for pain, death, and female voices have been replaced. Female infected may still scream Randy Savage stuff, but that's just the way it goes. Due to the way L4D handles sounds, sometimes sounds may cut out after a while or make a short screech at the end. It's apparently an issue with L4D because other sound packs are experiencing the same problem. Installation instructions are included in the zip file. Enjoy"

Xbox version yes.

Yeah, you always have to play with all 4 characters. The only thing that changes is whether the characters are controlled by humans or the computer.
