When someone suggest a game have mature subject matter, I assume thematic when they mean mature, not blood, swearing and boobs. Zelda is already one of the most mature games in that sense, as Link and his ancestors/descendants have been through quite a bit of hell.

Blood is stupid. It's one of the reasons I hated God of War. Every time you hit an enemey in that game, they lose half their blood supply. It's just so stupid. That whole game is overrated.

Blood and violence are fun in games of God of War, Mortal Kombat, Grand Theft Auto, etc. But it's extremely tasteless to put it in games that really don't need it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some blood in the Legend of Zelda, as long as it's done in the way Bruce Timm and co. did it in their cartoons based on DC characters. A rather little amount that showed that someone was at least hurt.

And God of War is the third best game on the Playstation 2

i agree. unless he's fighting a molten monster, then i expect some massive damage to be done.

If the molten monster had a crust and when Link slashed him it would break and lava poured out, that's fine. But I don't want to see a pool of blood gush into the air when Link strikes an enemy.

I recall a claim that they aren't aimed at mature audiences, not that they're immature. They aren't immature, but they're certainly not deeply respectable drama. It's all ages classical fare.

So, something that has been in all the major Zelda games is a spoiler....how? If I say "Link saves the day" or "there are collectable items" or "it's 3d" or "there's a villain", is it a spoiler? OHNOES A SWORD (which may or may not be the Master Sword) is in the game! We've never seen this before!

PS, King Kong dies and Darth Vader is Luke's father. I'm sorry I spoiled those too, but some things are just too old to remain spoilers.
