Okay, the first few announcements I could maybe have written off as coincidence, but with this announcement, it feels like a pattern that a good portion of the cast are either MAGA or have supported Trump.

It’s like they just saw the named Dan and thought, “That’s a white name, right? Let’s get this American guy.” And they found the whitest, blandest white bread white person they could find.

F**king hell.

Because that seems to be the extent of the director’s surface-level understanding of the franchise based on who he cast.

All of this casting screams early 2000s young teenage boy fan-casting of all the celebrities he knows of in what their version of a live-action anime would be without any consideration for cultural sensitivity or whether they’re good actors.

I’m almost half expecting stuff to come out about him being a Trump-supporting anti-woke, anti-LGBTQIA+ anti-DEI, racist and misogynistic MAGA incel who is deep in the manosphere, likes Joe Rogan and Elon Musk and opposes cancel culture.

Trust me, it’s worth the watch. Draws from the games, Alpha Generations in terms of Gouki and Gouken’s backstory. You do feel the love for the games and anime!

They were going to do a World Warrior series but that got canned.
