It's similar and identical to 3 IMHO.How was the gameplay Vileone? As good as DMC 3? I heard there is no lock on target in this one and it locks on enemies automatically.
The main reaoson I liked the original games were cause of the gothic anime influenced type style with the hyper combat. With DmC the whole Dante VS Bill O Riley and V for Vendetta Virgel stuff just isnt setting right with me at the moment. Same with new Dantes attitude or look. Level design looks awesome but the in your face modern political allegories were never a thing I was dieing to see in a DMC game.
Ill give it a shot. They have yet to impress though. I liked the characters and art design in the original, didnt need this big of a change imo.
Now Dante has two sets of weapons. He's got a demon set and an angel set. He's no longer half-human. He's now half-angel/half-demon. I'd say that's the biggest difference that you have two different weapons. You will need to use different weapons and items depending on the situation.
Calling it a ripoff of Bayonetta is silly considering Bayonetta didn't invent what was in this game. I think it'd be a ripoff of Bayonetta if there was a similar heroin. It's like saying Uncharted is a ripoff of Tomb Raider. There'd be no Bayonetta without Devil May Cry anyway. Or it's like saying Fall of Cybertron and War of Cybertron are Gears of War clones.
It might not work but I like the idea of a more personal, involved story for Dante where the stakes are higher. Again I like the old games but Dante is at times so lackadaisical like he can't be bothered about what's going on. He's doing it more because he doesn't have much else going on.
An actual romance would be nice instead of all the noncommittal flirting with the girls would be nice as well.
