Seeing how reminiscent this new design is of the G84 version, it makes me happy happy happy :)

I miss his little ears, I wish his teeth were a little larger, and from what I can tell his dorsal plates seem sort of "flat", but other than that I think it's a really great-looking design. Much better than I would have thought.

I can't wait to see what they do with Godzilla's movement. No longer limited by a man in a suit, I wonder how he'll be used onscreen? Here's hoping for a really awesome trailer that answers that.

I can so hear the traditional Zilla roar coming out of THAT.

I have to wonder if CGI Zilla will actually do some of those wacked out attacks from his heroic days. Like, maybe use those funked up acrobatics but in a badass way? Or will those things just come out silly?

The image was taken down for a reason :/

I hope this version of Godzilla is pure Heisei in terms of morality.

Same here, and I would love if they brought in a bit of Shinto mysticism from GMK, not to make Godzilla mystical in origin but for philosophical purposes, since ken watanabe is in this.

I was never a fan of the "ears", even though they were part of the original Godzilla. Only on 85 Godzilla could I tolerate them because they were very subtle. But on the rest of the Heisei series Godzillas, some angles he would look like he had little horns protruding from his head, especially from a frontal shot.

I agree with the teeth though, they should be a little more pronounced at least, give him a bit of a more menacing look.

And in to response to those that say this Godzilla looks "human-like", Showa Godzilla has almost always had an expressive look in his face. I've always preferred Godzilla with a "muzzle" over him with a "snout", it aloud him to look more expressive and loved his sort of "dog-like lip curl" that 85 Godzilla had....you know when he was pissed!!!

That is one very subtle feature that Godzilla always had, although he is this creature, he always had an expressive "face". The "brow", somewhat large eyes, and a "muzzle", kinda like lips...that gave subtle movement when he open and closed his maw, or when his head shook violently.

It's always the little things that go a long way which is why Godzilla has such an iconic look :woot:

I like the overall look and design of his face, im happy. Sure I would make a few minor tweaks here and there, most notable more pronounced teeth, but so far this Godzilla gets my approval :yay:

I actually didn't mind that too much in GMK...personally I actually rather prefer the way his origin was addressed in Gojira, which is to say, he's hinted at and played up separately as being an atomic mutation and a mythical creature, but without any actual specific verification either way; even Yamane's scientific findings don't really confirm that he's an atomic mutation--they merely provide a possible explanation for Godzilla's existence, one that Tokyo citizenry accepts as surely as the Odo Islanders do their myth after he stomps his way across the island during the typhoon (plus when Hagiwara's giving his testimony on what happened you can tell that HE'S almost inclined to believe the island legends, the way he describes huts being stomped on from above rather than blown away with the wind).

Watching Godzilla vs. Mothra The Battle for Earth.

The best part is the singing

I love how in all the nineties movies to feature mothra the song always turned into this elaborate production with lights shows and choreography.

Wait till Bollywood remakes a Mothra movie.

I love that by the end of the Heisei era the priestesses were just trolling the Earth. "Yeah SpaceGodzilla is on his way and Mothra can't be ****ed helping you guys. Goodbye! You're all going to die goodbye!"

October is around the corner, and not even a damn teaser......

I'm hoping it hits with Thor 2.

Would watch. With John Rhys-Meyers in the role(s).
