I know it's a bit off topic, but guess who's also making a comeback?

New Gamera Project

The retailer Amiami is listing the Summer 2014 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Tokusatsu Newtype magazine for release on May 16. According to the retailer, this issue will have a lead feature with a scoop on "a new Gamera launching. Breaking a long silence, that famous Gamera will finally return! Earliest unveiling of imageboards [pre-production art]!"

The giant turtle monster Gamera made his debut in Daiei's 1965 film Daikaijū Gamera (Gamera the Giant Monster). His last feature film was Chiisaki Yūsha-tachi ~Gamera~ (Gamera the Brave) in 2006.

On a lighter note, a 2014 Gigan would be awesome to have in sequels:

Amazon just canceled my Art of Godzilla book saying the company has canceled the item.

I'm likely going to be interviewing screenwriter Max Borenstein ahead of the release.

Lucky you. Talked to Max a few times on twitter. Seems to be a very good guy.
I have a suggestion for a question to ask. When Gareth and him were developing the story did they ever visit Godzilla message boards to check ideas or hopes that the fandom had for the movie.

Thanks for the suggestion. Also if anyone else has suggestions, please feel free to post them here. See what I can work in since we will only have about 15-ish minutes.

I have one:
From a standpoint of trying to keep tradition balanced with modern times, do you(Gareth Edwards) feel you have successfully delivered a movie that balances both to make classic, die-hard Godzilla fan's happy as well as draw in a new generation of potential Godzilla fans?

Gamera could be returning? Hm...that's quite awesome. I never saw Gamera the Brave. The whole cute Gamera being the main monster put me off. I did like the adult Gamera and Zedas though. We'll just have to wait and see if it all comes true.

Zedus is a pretty interesting monster. His overall design is pretty detailed for a stunt person in a suit. Wouldn't mind seeing this monster utilized in a millennium Gamera series as well as Iris.

When it comes to the Godzilla toys/figures coming out. Which company is better. JAK or Neca?

If only Gamera The Brave was Zedus and THIS GUY duking it out: http://hellpainter.com/t-gamera-1.htm

Considering how unkiddified Zedus was, I mean he was eating people and impaling Gamera, why they decided to revert to the whole Gamera looking goofy astounds me because Zedus' design looks great. Zedus is actually the one thing from Gamera the Brave that Kaiju fans speak highly of in a very middling movie. Compared with the last Heisei movie Gamera 3: Revenge of iris, I'd think anything to come afterwards would have hefty shoes to fill.

It seems as Monday won't be the time where the toy embargo lifts. It's more of a "merchandise" thing.
