i dont watch ufc, but wasn't Rousey supposed to be really good? how did she get so bad so quickly? are they paying her to lose or something?

She has terrible coaching, and a long string of quick victories probably led to a sense of invincibility. She's an excellent judo practitioner, but her striking has never really improved (or really been forced to), and the last two fights really brought that out.

That wasn't her first time losing.
Sense of invincibility should have been vanquished.

Brian, another weird thing... She know her flaw... and was going against another Holly Holm type opponent... and it looked like she hadn't trained for that at all... looked the exact same... once she got punched the first time, it was over, she had lost her confidence.

Brian, another weird thing... She know her flaw... and was going against another Holly Holm type opponent... and it looked like she hadn't trained for that at all... looked the exact same... once she got punched the first time, it was over, she had lost her confidence.

Tonight's fight, and everything leading up to it, has been strange in general. She refused to speak to media, and even had it in her contract for the fight that she wouldn't be obligated to. She made a flat rate of $3 million for the fight, with no win bonus. So, she was going to make the same amount, regardless if she won or lost, and she did the bare minimum required for promoting the fight. Fighters like McGregor also tend to get flat rates, but they realize they need to promote the fight in order to earn the real bonus in PPV sales percentages. It all kinda adds up to the idea that she was mentally checked out already, and didn't care how the fight went. She just wanted it over with. I get the impression that it will be a great relief for her when it's done for good.

Yeah, the movie thing was never going to work out. She's just not very good. Even Gina Carano has shown bits of charisma and screen presence. Ronda would definitely seem better suited for WWE, which is something she actively is a fan of, and doesn't require as much acting talent. She could Brock Lesnar it, show up a few times a year, have a manager talk for you, and make a good buck.

Rousey was also in the Entourage movie... which I can't say her presence made it any worse than it already was, but she was bad.

As it's almost 4:30 in the morning on New Year's Eve, I've naturally started watching the original Dragon Ball from the beginning. Two things come to mind:

1: Oh my God, how did this show ever make the air in North America as a children's show? Was each episode edited down to 5 minutes? I honestly can't remember this.

2. There will never be a greater theme song than this:

i forgot she was in deadpool, but she didn't do much, but she wasn't too horrible i guess either.
she kinda played the same role in fast and furious

i saw her in Haywire and i had a lot of high hopes for it due to cast, but i wasn't too impressed
