Leverage on TNT

That seems quite early. Was it as early as July last year? It seems the winter half season only just finished, but then maybe it's just that time has been flying.

It's actually later than when both S.3 & 4 premiered, both those started back up in mid/late June.

Nice.

I thought the last season was weak, despite the clearly higher budget they were given. The only thing really standing out for me was the increased use of the show's own continuity and canon, which shows you how far the show has really come.

Yeah the last season was definitely weak. It's like they stopped doing the straightforward cons and tried to turn the show into something else in the early part of the season. Who remembers that wartime romance thing with Hardison and Parker?

I also didn't like that Office-inspired episode with the shakey cam.

I hope they go back to the feel of Season 2 or 3.

the episode with the Dagger, i can't remember the name was on as a rerun on TNT the other day. It's one of my favorites as each person tells their own version of the heist, Sophie's accent gets worse and worse. Hilarious.

Big credit to the actress though as she is able to preform all these accents on the show. i can even count how many different ones she's done. great job on her part

The Rashamon Job.

It would have been funnier if the artifact had been a samurai sword.

For those interested on the synopsis details for the 1st 10 episodes of Season 5:

TNT Releases Details on the First Ten Episodes of Leverage's Fifth Season

Have to say, Episode 3...(spoiler tags in case anyone is avoiding the synopsis' for now)
"The First Contact Job" directed by Frakes and dealing with the team trying to convince the mark he's made first contact with aliens...
...sounds intriguing *lol*

Would be shocked if there weren't any in-jokes in that one

As a Star Trek fan, I am looking forward to this the most. I wonder if Frakes himself or any other alum guest stars.

Keeeewl!

I think we will see Parker as the Borg Queen, or some facsimile thereof. :wow:

Needless to say, Hardison would be totally in his element on that job. That might be one where he basically runs the show.

Looking forward to Sunday Night.
LEVERAGE, The GLADES, and LONGMIRE.
Awesome night of television. :woot:

What does everyone think of the new season so far?

I'm liking it so far. Interested to know what Nate's up to. I just rewatched Season 4 (got it on DVD) and noted at the end of the S4 finale that he mentioned to Sophie that he was going to make some changes to his life.

The 2nd episode this season felt a little different than the normal jobs they take, the client asking the team to save their dad from himself. I think it worked.

And next week is The First Contact Job... like said earlier, with Frakes directing that one, if there isn't at least one little nod or inside joke I will be severely disappointed *lol*

I've heard on some boards that people are concerned that with what Nate & Hardison were talking about at the end of 501 that this could be the last season, the thing to remember is that Rogers (at least I think it was him) has said that, for the most part, they try to keep each season contained and run each season arc as if it were their last (I'd say the only exception to that might be the end of Season 2 with Nate being arrested and shot, but they may have already known that they were being picked up for S3 when they wrote that ep). So, for me at least, I'm not worried... at least not yet. :)

The promo for the next episode has a hilarious parker moment with Elliot.

I like the new set as well... the old one was nice, but it was getting a bit... well, old.

The thing Nate & Hardison were hinting at is interesting... i have to wonder if it's to do with the heat on the team (from the alphabet agencies i mean) and fixing it?

- So far the season is starting off better than last season did. Straightforward plots, no burying us in high-concept episodes anymore.

- Gina Bellman looks amaaaazing. :wow:

- Love the fact that the team is now running a gastro-pub, with Elliot managing the kitchen. :woot:

So far, so Good.
Wonder Why there isn't a new episode this sunday? :(

Yeah, last season was like they were trying to be a different type of show. I didn't enjoy that and felt that the show was beginning to run out of steam. I just wanted to see con capers, which is why people watch Leverage. This season so far is more like season 3.

Last Sunday they showed 2 episodes for the Summer Season finale.
Show will return some time in November.

In Washington DC Eliot, Hardison, and Parker prevent a Flu outbreak.
Monte Markham plays the villian. Nice to see Monte back in action, I haven't seen him in anything since ST:DS9.

The other episode has Nate, Sophie, and Sterling solving a stolen art case.
After watching this episode it dawn on me that Tim and Gina would make
a good "Nick & Nora Charles".

I enjoyed both episodes.
Plus Christian Kane cut his hair. He looks better with shorter hair. Still slightly longer then his "ANGEL" days.

there was a second episode?

The first episode was a great action flick.

The second was a nice lighter comedy to end the season.

I am three episodes behind. I will have to catch up this weekend. :D
