I'm not knocking it too hard because it's obvious that the first two episodes are just setting things up.

But... I think they needed to have someting to really grab the audience or at least the die hard fans and... It didn't have that in either episode to my mind.

I imagine that's the implication, but the bee keeper suit also had the SWORD logo on the back, just like the colourized helicopter and the notebook of the person watching the "TV show" at the end of episode one.

I saw that later that the logo was SWORD. Still... MCU SHIELD had Hydra as a parasitic entity inside it for decades so... Just saying.

What did you think over all. I liked that it was different, even if the sitcom thing is... I get what it's going for and it does "work" but... Its grating even in small doses since so much time is spent on it in the first two episodes and it's just not that entertaining to me, or at least, I am waiting for all the mystery parts while they do this faux sitcom deal. That said... Sitcoms bear a lot more fruit for satire once we get into the 60'sand 70's. I think I might be more open to those parodies.

I thought it was great. Bettany and Olsen have great chemistry, the foreboding nature of the "real world" bleeding into Pleasantville kept a fine little layer of tension running at all times, and the tropey humour was actually very well done. I roll my eyes at about 60% of the MCU's standard humour, but I actually laughed out loud a number of times here. Plus, half-hour episodes were the right call. Keeps things moving.

This might also be the first MCU property I could actually get my mom to watch, which is nice.
