The Expanse

According to James S.A. Corey, season 6 will
adapt book 6 only, leaving the ending pretty open in order to come back and finish the last 3 books in the future.

That's some high praise, considering Nemesis Games is regarded by many as the best book of the series

This is good news.

Well, it won't be rushed at least.
yep it will also give them time to finish the final book, due out first half of 2021,so we won't have another 'GOT incident'
Considering the time jump, I wonder if they will keep the same cast or get slightly older actors

FYI, according to the fine folks at reddit the season could possibly drop at midnight UTC. Which would be the same for me as well.
Luckily I am off work tomorrow so I might just be able to stay up and at least watch the first episode.

Love the first 3 episodes, really like what they are doing with Drummer's character she's (along with Amos) have been the stand outs so far this season (imo)

I know how I'll be spending some three hours of my weekend..

Ep02 : did they recycled the actress who played one of Jules Pierre Mao's daughter (the one with the bio implant) as a belter under Camina captain-ship ?

Ep01 : Amos always delivers.

No, that's Oksana.

You're thinking of Clarrisa Mao, who does show up later

Ugh, I do not approve of this release schedule. I need more! :argh:

As much as it sucks, I personally feel it helped with my overall enjoyment of both The Boys and The Mandalorian in the end.

I got to immerse in, and enjoy the episode-specific discussions not just here, but around the web. (Reaction videos, etc.) Can't do the same for all-in release. Not with the same atmosphere, at least. Especially when you already know the conclusion coming in to the discussion.

Holy crap you guys, this episode was tense!

what....the....hell, that was one tense episode

What an episode! This show just keeps getting better and better.

Not gonna lie, I totally forgot about Clarissa Mao. :O

Just finished the last episode and what can I say, this show does not disappoint :D

Has anyone checked out the aftershow or the podcast with Ty and Wes? I've been meaning to but haven't gotten around to it yet.

She killed several people on a ship that was travelling to the ring gate. She wanted to destroy what her father did with the protomolecule if I remember.
She wanted to get revenge on Holden and the Roci crew for getting her father thrown in jail for all the bad stuff he did with the protomolecule. Besides blowing up a ship and framing Holden, her actions led to the mess in the Slow Zone that got a whole bunch more people killed.

As busy as this show can be, I wonder if it'd be easier to remember her deal if they hadn't covered Book 3 in half as many episodes as the other books.

I need a refresher on her. I remember her doing some bad stuff, but not the specifics. Wasn't she a terrorist or something?
The others pretty much covered it, but she's the one who first showed up undercover with an alias as a mechanic on the fleet headed to the ring gate, and had that weird implant that made her seem superhuman or something (I believe it was some sort of adrenaline implant). And I think she was the one responsible for opening all the gates in the first place after a confrontation with Ashford. I was confused about her relationship with Amos though, because the last thing I remember regarding the two of them was him suggesting they kill her on the spot when she was caught.

Yeah I really can't wait to binge the whole thing when it's over. There's definitely still a lot I know I've either forgotten or have missed or am fuzzy on. I feel like this is a show that will really benefit from being watched all at once.

This is what caught me off guard, because it was almost like there was a relationship between them already and he'd gone to visit a friend or something. That isn't quite the case.

There's probably more to it, or I've missed something. Maybe because Amos has a questionable past, he's more open to giving others a second chance or something?
