I guess the difference between this and the majority of the live action Disney remakes is that How to Train Your Dragon was a book before it was a movie, so it's likely that they draw more influence from that for the live action version so it's not so much of a carbon copy of the animated film.Kinda surprised people are excited for this yet keep treating Disney's remakes in general with distain.
Except considering it's the same director as the animated movies which are way more popular than the books (the movies changed a LOT from the books), I'm sorry but I'm calling hypocrisy.I guess the difference between this and the majority of the live action Disney remakes is that How to Train Your Dragon was a book before it was a movie, so it's likely that they draw more influence from that for the live action version so it's not so much of a carbon copy of the animated film.
I agree. And it just seems like it's just THIS that's getting remade and not any other Dreamworks movie.I’d consider this a different situation than Disney just for the fact of DeBlois. As much time as he spent on the trilogy, he wouldn’t be doing this if there wasn’t something that’s got him interested.
