IIRC that list has the Logan International trailer at No. 5. I'm not sure if Power Rangers released a separate International Trailer and if it did, it certainly didn't make it into the Top 10.

That said I wouldn't worry too much about trailer views. I'm sure lists from years past show that just because you've made that list doesn't automatically convert that to box office $$

Apocalypse got like 50 million views and it's not even in the top ten highest grossing films of 2016.

Grossing? no.

Was wondering how/why Deadpool didn't make the cut.

In that regard, I'm not that worried on Logan turning up a decent-good profit.

It might have, but these are for summer releases :D

At least 800m minimum.

It'll do good business

I still think it will make around 400-450 WW. Beauty and the Beast, Power Rangers and Kong will definitely hurt its legs. I think Fox would be happy with those numbers though

They said the same thing about Alice, Turtles, Warcraft etc last year for Apocalypse

You just proved his point. Apocalypse had HORRIBLE legs. It dropped a massive 65% in its 2nd weekend. Then another 55% it's 3rd weekend. Ultimately, only staying in theaters for 9 weeks. Terrible.

That's what people expected from Apocalypse.... Though I do think this will be a good movie unlike Apocalypse. It Just won't be a box office juggernaut. March 2017 is as crowded as the summer season.

Apocalypse was never going to do the business DOFP did.

Jackman and stewart are both pluses but remember logan is r rated film.and unlike deadpool it's not crowd pleasing r rated film with bunch of jokes.both xavier and wolverine may die in film.depending on domestic numbers in theory i could see it get to 600 million
WW which if you want to include Deadpool would make it thrid biggest film WW

I'm going to be conservative and say maybe around $400 million. It's an R-rated, violent, character introspective looking film and doesn't have the comedic appeal like Deadpool to bring in the younger crowd and nor could it really be a "Date" movie like Deadpool. This looks like a higher budget No Country for Old Men so I don't see it doing gangbusters.

The movie itself should be helped by the fact it's an IMAX release in the states too; along with foreign IMAX releases. I prefer seeing films in IMAX over seeing them in 3D

I don't believe this. Don't Breathe cost around 9 million and earned around 155 million worldwide. The movie was released in August so yeah its a summer movie.

The disclaimers at the bottom say they don't include anything released after August 19... for some reason!

It should help but the film needs strong replay value from the public to avoid big drops.

Fall movie season cutoff point, perhaps, and that's just when the data was collected.
The article's posted on Sept 1
Don't Breathe only made 26 mil in that first week.

Sounds about right. Unlike the other CBM this year, there is not much pressure for this to do crazy numbers. Its strictly a stand alone and there won't be any direct sequels. I am more fascinated with the box office runs of Wonderwoman, Justice League and Spiderman Homecoming where the pressure is on.

I think it's going to make much more money than Kingsman at least.

My first prediction on page one may have been a little too optimistic (375 Foreign. 245 Domestic. 620 World Wide.), however, I'd bet money on it beating Apocalypse, both domestically and world wide.

Lol you seem so sure. I bet Fox are hoping for that to happen too.

I am pretty confident. I'd consider it a failure if it loses to Apoc.

Is logan gonna have a 3D release?

The Wolverine made $414.8 million in 2013 so it should make more then that this year, although probably not as much as deadpool.

The Wolverine has to the lowest Domestic Box Office of the franchise so far but i can only imagine there will be more curiosity this time round to gain more interest, although admittedly for a franchise that people act like FOX is so apparently money hungry for they certainly confidently allowed the Logan title with Wolverine barely getting mentioned in marketing.

No 3D; but it's getting an IMAX release stateside and in foreign territories.

March has big competition so im thinking maybe 300-350mil zone. I think calling it logan might be another bad idea because there are people out there that do not know that this is a wolverine movie.
