The Avengers Loki has an Army, We Have a Lounge!

I don't know what you're talking about. Everyone named Nic Cage has been clamoring for that movie to be made.

Relevant to a conversation we had in the Avengers N&S forum once:

If Male Superheroes Were Drawn Like Female Superheroes

Those are really practical outfits, I'll throw a fit if they change them when they make the movies :jedi

In all fairness, here's a little equal time:

(I'm not sure I could slip Dr. Manhattan past the censors.) :word:

To quote Deadpool from the "I'm a Marvel" series about Green Lantern......

I can't wait to see the reboot!

Let's have a go at resurrecting our Lounge since we're all having so much fun chatting on other threads. :woot:

To kick things off, here's a fan-made Avengers Prologue video. If I'm not mistaken, the creator is our own antovolk.

Hooray! Let's hope the thread sticks this time.

This thread was buried on page three of the forum. It really was forgotten. We'll have to post here to keep it going, though.

Any Mad Men fans? I hereby crown that episode the bees knees. I want to be Matthew Weiner when I grow up.

The Head Count spot just played during Michael Bay's wretched Armageddon on FX. That movie is so freaking bad that a 30-second ad for The Avengers outclassed it on every level.

Stupid movie makes me even angrier because I paid to see it. How did Bay even get work after crapping out this turkey? I mean, I love Bruce Willis but by the end of the movie I was rooting for his character to die a painful death. The only thing that would have made me happier was if Ben Affleck's character had been the one to die screaming. That's how bad it is.

I feel all better now. :yay:

Because in spite of how **** it was, it also made a **** load of $$$ at the box office that year. That damn Aerosmith song was everywhere.

This is sad but true. Bay has found his niche as a director of schlock that draws huge audiences who want to see spectacular destruction. He's like Irwin Allen on crack. Unfortunately, he has managed to take some of my favorite things -- explosions and mindless destruction -- and make them unbearable. What is the world coming to when one can't even go to the movies to see **** get blowed up real good without coming away feeling disgusted and like even the lowest of expectations haven't been met? :cmad:

I remember when Armageddon came out. It was the battle of the cosmic death rocks that summer: Armageddon vs. Deep Impact. DI was depressing, but pretty good. Armageddon made me want hurl, and not just because of the Aerosmith song.
