The Avengers Loki has an Army, We Have a Lounge!

They're the usual:

I got Angry Birds, social games, Pandora,HBO and Cinemax Go. The one I really love is splashtop. It gives you remote access to your laptop from anywhere if you have Wifi. My whole campus has wifi so I have access to my laptop from anywhere on campus or at my fraternity house. I actually left some homework saved on my laptop and used splashtop to email it to me and print it at another place before going to class. Turns out it's not only fun, but useful.

I think it's also available for phones, but I don't like using it for phones.

Hey peeps, how's it going? I seem to be going through a Blu-ray phase at the moment Currently watching The Dark Knight, watched Batman Begins earlier. That is all really.

I'm starting to like Blu-Ray. Now that it's getting cheap and more accessible I'll probably switch to Blu-Ray by the end of the year.

It's a great format. I have been enjoying it for a few years now, ever since I got a PS3.

blu rays has always been cheap for a long time if you go to sites like Amazon and blue underground. A couple months ago I got three blu rays for under $20.

Total.

And as of right now my "show off" blu ray has to be Tron: Legacy. It looks fantastic on my 52" HDTV. Also the Lord of the Rings extended edition blu ray is :wow:

My show off ones are: The Dark Knight (IMAX scenes), Transformers 1 and 2 and Blade Runner.

I had heard the non-IMAX scenes are an ugly transfer on the TDK blu

Yeah my Dark Knight blu ray is only good when it shows the IMAX shots, other than that it's a very messy looking blu ray. My other show off blu ray is Avatar and shockingly the 4 Batman films (89 - Batman & Robin). Especially the Batman & Robin blu ray, that one is great to look at.

If you're into drawing (or hand-drawing notes to yourself), the Paper by 53 app is really neat. Also, Khan Academy and Comic Zeal.

I have come to really like Batman & Robin. It's a fun movie

Well, it's a lounge thread so you can literally talk about anything.

Such as, I got an iPad last week and I can't put it down haha.

Hmm... I had a great day yesterday. Got some great news concerning my future.
I guess watching the Avengers will top it, though.:oldrazz:

Nice. I'll look into those apps.

Can you share some of that news?

And Avengers will come at the perfect time. I'll be done with school right around that time.

Comic Zeal is my favorite comic reader. They look great on the iPad. I might break down and try the new Marvel Infinite comics, too.

OOOOH!! Apps :)

I have to admit to loving the Marvel comic app. I'm able to keep up with most of my comics since getting to my LCS is really hard at the moment (it moved to another town and newborn baby is apparently a lot of work!). I also love the Kindle app, Hulu+ since we don't have cable anymore, Netflix and Pandora for music.

I've sort of been meaning to get LOTR and the original Star Wars trilogy on bluray. I'll second the show-off quality of Blade Runner; it looks stunning on our plasma.

I haven't heard of Comic Zeal. I downloaded Graphic.ly, but never use it.

The Nova issue on that new Marvel Infinite thingy is really sweet, especially on the iPad.

I think you have to get all 6 Star Wars flicks on blu ray as a bundle. I seem to recall some internet anger about that a few months ago

Oh, sure. It's still a bit early to tell, but I've been talking to one of my teachers at College, and, depending on the results of our research (which has gone pretty well so far), I have very good chances to do my doctorate studies at an institution called CBPF, the biggest center for physics research in Brasil, and one of the biggest in SA. And better yet, under the tutelage of one of the top researchers on this very particular field i'm studying.:yay:

Excellent. I hope you get it!
