Does anyone on here service their own automobiles?

I’ve performed all routine service on our family’s cars for nearly 25 years.

I’m running into an issue where I have a small leak at my oil drain plug. I’ve replaced the plug and the crush washer/gasket, but there’s still a leak. I don’t want to replace the whole oil pan if I can help it. I’ve been looking online and I’ve seen some people swear by RTV silicone sealant, but I’m a little paranoid about using a silicone gasket maker on an oil plug since it will be removed every 3-4 months whenever I change the oil.

Has anyone ever used this stuff and have an opinion?

I think I'm gonna take a break from the ole forum. I have been on here a long time, not always active, but have spurts of it. Never been big on arguing on the internet, but also kinda tired of seeing things I'm excited for getting trashed lol... but hey, that's the internet, it is what it is.

No Kentucky Derby for me this year. I had a client who we were going to take, but they had a scheduling conflict.

I have always had a love hate relationship with the Derby. It’s kind of fun to dress sharp and it’s cool to go to such a historic event with all of the pageantry. But it’s also kind of gross, it’s immoral, and the crowd usually is full of drunken jackwagons. Most of the guys act like rich frat boys. It’s kind of obnoxious.

But it is always fun to get a cool suit and my wife always looks like a million dollars when we go.

I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, we can't come up with a humane way to race horses. If it's impossible it should be banned.
