I didn't see Gilda until I was older, but Rita Hayworth caught my eye for sure......both of them.....and my attention.....and my breath.....and so on......




EDIT: I saw it at a theater in Santa Cruz called The Sash Mill where they showed old movies on the weekends. When that first scene of her face popped on the screen, there was literally a collective gasp in the theater.

A close friend of mine passed away (cancer) earlier this year. Another friend of mine just sent me a picture of us talking at a happy hour at UC Santa Cruz. That's the beer line behind us and it makes me wonder why we weren't in it.

It brought up feelings (happiness and sadness) and it's kind of hard to wrap my head around the fact that I'll never be able to talk to him or see him again. That's him on the left. Dude had some hair. Huh? He was a really talented guy. Artist, art critic, art historian, political theorist, musician, etc. Some of his work is exhibited at the Chicano Research and Study Center at UCLA. Still miss you my brother.

when i started reading Lore Olympus. i can't explain it, but it's my current obsession lol

if i recall, i think Boy Genius started here on the hype and the username was silver-sekhmet? this is all i've found so far
