Had an appointment with a GI specialist today for my GERD, which I waited two years for, told my symptoms, signed a form of consent, and the endoscopy will happen ‘soon’ whenever that is.

Hearing the risks like risk of infection, the tube leaving a hole in my stomach or esophagus left me feeling worried. Also regret leaving out certain details about symptoms due to feeling nervous.

Hoping nothing goes wrong when it happens. Know it’s low risk, but still…

I've had four endoscopies done and been perfectly fine. You'll be okay. :)

Have had a few myself, you wake up feeling like you slept a peaceful 8 hours during the 30 minutes or less you're under. The risks are obviously real but IMO overstated. Like Proposition 88 in California. Technically it's true but the reality is highly unlikely to practically nonexistent. The absolute worst likely outcome is your throat will be slightly sore for a few hours or maybe a day.

Welp, I officially have my endoscopy on November 27 at 8:00am. This works for me, as my GERD has gotten worse to the point where I’m coughing. :csad:

Sucks that I've had six or seven covid shots now and they still make me sick. Got vaxxed this morning and I'm feeling like crap. Hope it doesn't last longer than tomorrow. :(
