No, you're clearly not dumb.....there's all kinds of words out there that the vast majority of us have never seen. Avuncular means, basically, having to do with an uncle - niece/nephew relationship. It's just a weird word and it seems like there should be one for aunts.....like Avaunutar.....but it sounds like a movie that's goiing to be released in December.

I just think about weird stuff.....it's kind of my thing.....like my signatures.
