I just read through the Cavill thread.

Lois being a housewife doesn't negate the character's independence. It just means she's been put in a situation where she has to be more responsible. Plus, she's still gonna have that snarky personality. It's new territory for the character, and the way it's been done, I don't personally see it as demeaning.

Just watched "The Amazing Spider-Man" on telly. Man, I love that movie. Such a shame all that talent is now gone. There's a new Spidey movie coming out this year and I'm completely indifferent to it.

I really don't understand the hate it gets in some circles. Chris stuckmann even made a follow up video retracting his positive rating of the movie and saying it sucked. I thought it was great and I also felt the sequel betrayed the first in a lot of ways. Even the way Peter and Gwen interacted in the second (one of the few things people praised) I found to be broad, cartoonish and not believable at all.

On a serious (kinda) note, there are proposals that a house wife's workload equates to something like 50K/year, being a housewife is being a pillar of a family, and the future of society. I'm sure Lois can still bust criminals while her kids are in daycare, and write biographies that exposes evil people while breastfeeding.
