WB themselves are a massive issue. Probably the biggest issue but I'm talking about individual movie right now. They seemingly let Snyder do whatever he wants mostly, especially with regards to BvS, so I'm going to put some blame there.

That Constantine show was watered down. He grew up reading Hellblazer like me but the clowns wanted the "New 52" ish Constantine. he said if he could do it like the Vertigo books, He would.

Just left class and saw the Star Wars trailer. Looks cool visually. Hopefully its more R1 and less TFA.

Yes to BR 2049 being a contender for the best movie of the year. And yes, no cbm is displacing Logan from the top this year.

For one thing SW's universe is being mandated by Disney and people like Kennedy, Abram et al., i.e., producing films for mass appeal and commercial consumption. In other words, soft stuffs. I'll eventually see it later though.

It's not the faults of Kennedy, Abram et al. It's the corporate culture of Disney (and every other big studios like Warner, Fox etc) that lead itself to profit making exercise and predictability safe, mushy, milk-fed films. lol
