It's not edgy or interesting to say that rap music is trash. Rap is a fine genre like any other genre. And frankly I don't feel comfortable with people dismissing an entire genre that is mostly performed by black people. You know, that doesn't sit well with me.

Wonder if Sony as a whole will soon exclusively stick to lower tier budgeted scifi and action flicks & just let their animation side do most of the heavy lifting

Don't know if that was a little sarcastic or not, but I laughed.

It's definitely not a good few years for Sony, but I respect them for making good movies in the past. In the end, studios are all run for profit. I don't see any difference between them. Highs and Lows, folks, Highs and lows. And I certainly laugh when people claim that a studio is forcing us to consume anything. You already made the decision when you pay for it.

It's just people who don't know anything about the box office. Fifty Shades Darker got more trailer views than Star Wars the Force Awakens. Star Wars The Force Awakens made 2 billion worldwide while Fifty Shades Darker made 378 million worldwide. Beauty and the Beast, which is an enormous billion dollar hit, had more trailer views than Star Wars the Force Awakens and it will not make 2 billion dollars.

I do factor in trailer views in my box office predictions but they are not the be all end all. If they were then the movies with the most trailer views would be the biggest movies all the time. Justice League's biggest competition is the reception for Batman v Superman and what its reception will be. I think if Justice League fails it's going to be because of Justice League.

Real Steel took half the emotional potential of Logan for me. So I'm not crazy for it as many people are. Great movie still, but didn't live up to the hype. Surprised how similar it is to Real Steel.

I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes of Real Steel. Found it to be too dull and trite.

I think that Logan is a very good film but I'm not cuckoo banana pants for it like other people either. I mean I'd take The Dark Knight and Winter Soldier and the like over it.
