She was actually one of my picks for WW back in the day; having seen her act in anything it was based solely on how closely she resembles more "classic" white, voluptuous iterations of the character.

I'm more than happy with Gal tho, I think she's perfect (actually, personally I can't think of any casting choice in the DCEU that I'm not perfectly happy with).

Daddario is also in pretty good shape overall. Look at her lats in the WOMEN'S HEALTH magazine pictorial.

However, the WW costume as designed is more about flattering the legs and Gal has better legs, I think, and they do tend to be more central to a generally athlete-warrior-type.

Also, Gal has a MUCH warmer, friendlier smile, which I think is rather essential to the role which needs equal parts kickassery and approachability. Daddario, beautiful as she is, has a smile that can make you fear she will drink your blood and fly away into the night.

I would never understand why multi-million dollar companies cave into people like that. Why do they give them the illusion to think they have power by always giving them what they want as long as they throw big enough tantrums on social media? "Wonder Woman shouldn't be an embassador because she is a large breasted white woman" and they cave into the idiots yet again. I'm glad Gal fired back at them. I don't get it, how come people who make more money in a week than I've ever seen in my life, feel so pressured by some vocal minority? They are very loud, obviously, but ultimately impotent because they hardly ever vote with their dollars. Hashtag, boycott, scream and cry online until appeased, then find the next thing to be offended about. Besides you can't go anymore "female empowerment" than Wonder Woman. This is the last character that type of crowd should ever be complaining about. Maybe they were mad because unlike them, she has one ass instead of two.
