Justice League Lounge of Justice - Part 81

It was already a joke. I remember even South Park taking shots at it when it came out when they did that Thor parody episode.
South Park makes a joke about everything even a lot of the stuff Marvel has done that doesn't make those movies a joke. Green Lantern while not great wasn't a bad movie either and had a lot of things that could've been redeemed. The way Reynolds keeps attacking that movie IMO is unjustified unless he just had a bad experience on set.

The problem is Reynolds either wasn't aware or didn't care about the consequences of what he was doing. It's understandable since that movie almost destroyed his career and I can't really blame him, but I think he could've realized how this was going to affect the GL franchise all those years later. He could've dropped that crap after the first Deadpool, but he just kept on doing it for years after the fact. It's old, it's stupid and all it did was tarnish the character even further for literally no reason.
He can't blame all that on GL He had a series of flops before GL and made poor choices in the movies he did before GL

My frame of reference for Ms Marvel is that among the superladies, she's quite the staunch stickler. So, it's a little off-putting to see her here.

To answer your question how she is written in the comics to put it in a good way is not very likeable and is mostly despised.
She's been liked as Ms. Marvel for decades, being unlikable must be recent and out of character.

There's a difference between joking about something that's popular and generally well liked vs. something that's not considered very good, hence why they weren't the only ones making jokes about.

Hell, WB themselves have joked about it.

It's not that deep.

WB wouldn't have joked about it if Reynolds didn't start doing it in the first place. I don't see them making fun of their other horrible superhero movies all the time, yet GL is the perennial laughing stock. That's because of Ryan's antics to keep beating a dead horse almost a decade after the fact. We get it, GL is a bad movie, while Deadpool made tons of money so it's time to let it go.

I recall her being very moody on Earth's Mightiest Heroes and always nagging on Super Hero Squad Show.

This happened right before her relaunch and Marvel's second Civil War and has only gotten worse.

Correct you don't see them talking about Batman and Robin or Superman III and IV or Forever and Returns (the last two are not that bad of movies and also had a lot of redeeming qualities) . They did that with GL because of Reynolds and how the Deadpool movies just won't stop talking about it.

There's actually a very funny and pointed gag aimed at the Schumacher Batman movies in the Teen Titans Go flick. And outside of DC Batman & Robin and the Superman sequels (particularly IV) are pretty widely joked about in pop culture. Bat nipples have been a meme for decades now.

Superhero Squad show also made Captain America an overzealous cartoon of a patriot.
Ms. Marvel is pretty delightful in most of her A:EMH appearance. I don't know about her recent cartoon appearances.

We don't exactly see them tweeting Halle Berry if she wants her whip back, do we.

I think it looks like every other Marvel movie. Which is not surprising although I do think it also looks kind of like a Wonder Woman knock off which is fine because if they made Captain Marvel like how she is in the comics no one would see the movie.

Nice !

Some scenes do remind me of Green Lantern though, except here they were presented in a much better way.

As expected, Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury and Agent Coulson look great. I liked the helmets too.

This Stormy Daniels stuff sure is....something.

The other movies that Ryan Reynolds did were much worse than GL, yet he blames GL ? What about movies like - X-Men Origins Wolverine, Paper Man, R.I.P.D, Change-Up ?

Hal Jordan's origin lol Carol Danvers is such a trash character

Squad Show exaggerated base traits. So, it'd be off-putting if Carol wasn't like that occasionally.
On EMH, she was practically angrier than Hulk, and a fairly serious one overall.

He gets in quite a few digs at X-Men Origins: Wolverine as well. There's an extended gag in Deadpool 2 that exists solely to make fun of that movie.

The Captain Marvel trailer was 0k. It doesn't look bad but it does look generic as hell. So

Only anger I remember of her is when everyone was against Mar-Vell.

Not talking about jokes in Deadpool movies, but the fact that after all these years, he is still blaming GL when the truth is he made poor movie choices most of the time. And if not for GL, he wouldn't be married to Blake Lively, the other thing is he got the chance to be in Martin Campbell's movie, it's not as if he was put in a Uwe Ball movie.

I think people seem to be projecting a bit on the "blame" part of things. He makes fun of it a bunch in interviews and the Deadpool movies but I haven't seen any actual bitterness or anger from him about it hurting his career. He's just having some fun making fun of a movie that is widely considered a notorious flop.

If anything Greg Berlanti seems to be the more bitter one.

"But Green Lantern is a great one to point to. I got fired from that movie as a writer and as a director, and yet my name was all over it," revealed Berlanti in 2016. "I still get blamed for it, even though I had nothing to do with the finished product. As Marc Guggenheim always says, there's a very Google-able script that we did write that was not executed that I still stand by. But at the time, I thought, 'Oh God, that noose will hang around my neck my whole life.'"
