What prestige?

I mean, just look at the names involved. It's obviously got a prestige factor going. They probably see that kind of thing as subversive enough to be edgy or "avant garde" lol.

...come back to this after you've seen a couple episodes

Am I the only a little perplexed by the Capt. Marvel tagline? "Higher, further, faster." I don't know, it seems kinda like "ok..?" I don't think the marketing boys thought that one through thoroughly.

Seems like a more likely scenario for Superman at the moment.
A Superman show running simultaneously along with Krypton would make me wish for one thing; please make it a great Superman show, Superman is in desperate need for a great adaption, and he sure can have one.

"Higher, Further, Faster, More" is kind of Carol's mantra for a while (and the name of one of her more famous recent arcs). It's just basically referring to how she's never satisfied and is constantly pushing herself and seeking out that next great challenge/adventure. It really does rather succinctly summarize her character.

It's probably gonna steal WW2's thunder.

Wonder Woman 2 will do fine, I think. The word of mouth on the first one was extremely positive.

I think they'll both do great.

I don't have reason to believe Captain Marvel will steal Wonder Woman's thunder, not the phase 3 movie.

Tsujihara still around?

Hamada....

Anyway they probably checked if he is ok

Re-watched "Interstellar". One of my favourite sci-fi/space films ever. I can't understand it when people say Nolan doesn't know how to tell an emotional story. His films have always resonated emotionally with me, especially Interstellar. The scene where Cooper leaves Murph, when he cries out for himself to stay.....

And the docking scene......My God. I will never forget the first time I watched it in the theater. "Cooper, what are you doing?!" "Docking" Chills down my spine every time. The tension of the scene alone combined with Hans' score. What an indelible memory.

Captain Marvel trailer was just ok. Brie looks great in the suit, but she seems like she sleepwalking through this. lol

It does seem like Marvel using most of their cgi cash on them IW film/Avengers. Some of the cgi still needs work, which is most likely still being working on. I still ain't over them fake rhinos in BP. From the same studio who gave us a realistic talking and dancing bear, I expect more, fam.

Hans Zimmer talks about scoring Wonder Woman 1984 around 13 minutes in.

Sounds like he's excited for what Patty has up her sleeve.

Murph- "Dad, what did you do before you became a pilot?"

Cooper- ''Cocaine and hookers, murph...cocaine and hookers. Then the economy crashed so I became a pilot. Then the plane crashed so I became a farmer.

Christopher Nolan working on another fan masterpiece/

Nolan: And then the wife or girlfriend character dies, so it serves as to a cathartic emotional breakthrough for the male character in the end.

Emma Thomas: So, I guess no female characters in this one?
Nolan: Huh, oh, right. They'll be there in a flashback or something. You know I love those and the audience does too. I'm bloody brilliant.

Emma sighs into her gloomy window that looks out lavish green gardens. Bruce Wayne would be proud.

Nolan: You bloody sigh again and we are ovah!
Emma: You don't have the balls.
Nolan: Wus that? He grabs a cup of tea and throws it out the window.
Emma: Tough stuff from the writer of Robin John Blake.
Nolan stops and sobs into her skirt. I'm sorry luv, I knew when I saw you, I just knew.

Emma combs his hair to the side and cheers him up, ''Who is the smartest boy in the room?!'' Nolan answers with absolute joy and snot on his face, ''Me!''

I think he is too influenced by action movies where the main man goes hunting down the arch-nemesis that killed his wife/girlfriend. I guess it's luck that he did not include that bit somewhere in Dunkirk.

KT: "So Ben, If this is OK for you, We're here to talk .. there's a little, low budget movie called Batman which you signed on.."

This would make my day.

Not gonna happen tho. Except if Ben's been on such a bender he's signed on for a whole franchise of Bat-films and doesn't even remember.

It's amazing how they have managed to make actors resemble Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in this movie.
