Yeah let’s keep the salty language to a minimum!

Wouldn’t want our younger members to be exposed to such unpleasantries. Plus, message boards are very popular with kids born after the year 2000, as we all know!

wheeeew

I'd laugh if this wins Box office OW with Venom, wont happen but what a thing that would be

Finished season 3 of Preacher, maaaaaan I hope they don't cancel this show!! It's easily one of my favorite ongoing things right now.

One day I'll read the comics...just like one day I'll watch Breaking Bad.

Christopher McQuarrie gave a Q&A last night.

Johns is writing the script, I have a strong suspicion it's from Cruise' request....if Henry bails then we might be in for a GLC from Cruise/McQ, which would be amazing, and GL might become the face of DC lol, makes up for the last one I guess.

Well that’s a major bummer about Cavill and Superman

Wish WB woulda let them two do it.

Lol your avatar's amazing

I think I've forgotten how amazing this movie is (haven't seen it in a long time), and I don't think I've really appreciated Wally Pfister in this particular scene before, everything there is simply awesome, the music, the escalation, Bale's rage, Ledger's....everything!!! :hmr: :hmr:

Might need to rewatch it pronto.

Dark Phoenix trailer dropling tonight. I didnt watch the leak so I'm excited to see this.

Gotta say, I dont talk about the FoXmen films alot on here because the discussions around them always seem to turn toxic especially after Marvel acquired the rights back but I'll just say I've really enjoyed the Xmen movies for the most part. I feel since First Class Fox got their act together and really turned in some real high caliber comic book movies over the last decade. I feel that Fox's contibutions to the comic book genre get vastly overlooked because everyone's so anxious for Marvel Studios to get their hands on the Xmen and F4. Days of Future Past, First Class and Logan I feel deserve to sit at the cream of the comic book movie crop.

Overall, I liked how Fox delivered a little biy of counterprogramming to the MCU's fare. No offense to the MCU, but I liked that Fox delivered a nice Marvel alternative tonally. Whenever I get tired of the MCU's snark, I could sit and watch a more serious Marvel CBM with the Xmen films. I'm hoping Dark Phoenix ends that era of filmmaking on a good note.

Yeah that whole thing is a big can of yikes.

For my money, X2 is one of the best comic book films ever made.

Yeah the Nagini thing is a whole can of yikes.

I was excited for Dark Phoenix, but after hearing it went through JL-esque reshoots, I no longer am.

Damn shame.

Just watched Solo

It was...ok, I guess; very competently made, It'd say for lack of a better word (and particularly considering the production drama), I just couldn't really care for anything that was happening on screen, but to be honest, I can't really tell if it is because of the movie itself, or because I haven't really cared for Star Wars movies since the original trilogy (which is really curious, considering how a treasured part of my childhood those movies are, I just never cared the same for the following ones afterwards).

The last 10 minutes of the movie felt a bit like "Alright everybody, let's wrap it up, pack up and go!" and at the end left me with the same feeling I got when this was announced "Why are we having this movie really?? Other than the fact that everyone loves Han, everything you need to see and know about him is already in the original trilogy, no matter how they try to 'Casino Royale' him".

They lured me into this movie with promises of Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover, and I just wish there was more of them (or more for them to do).

Do we have any Fantastic Four fans here?? (I mean the characters in general)

I just got an itch for getting into them, and since I don't feel like going to the comic book store right now I was wondering if there's an animated movie or show I could watch that would show them in their best light (I know already not to expect that from the live action movies); any recommendation for a good FF comic (ideally a contained story I could find in TPB form would be nice) I can get later would be appreciated too.

I'm really looking forward to the FF being integrated to the MCU, I think they would benefit greatly from it and I also think they would benefit from going all 60s Kirby kinda crazy with it, like Ragnarok/GotG type of tone, but then again, never been a big fan so I really don't know how many different takes on them there are.

that iron man suit has the classic suit scheme and cap has the scale mail... this feels like the last time to me.

Agreed. I love the more mature tone of the Fox X-Men films and will sorely miss them when the MCU takes over the X-men.
