Seriously though, can you imagine Superman punches an old lady in a Zack Snyder trailer? =P
Same hereI'm so glad I don't watch that show anymore. And I used to like it so much.

That makes three of us, or more.Same here

I liked season 2, liked bits from season 3, but it was mostly frustrating when it came to the revelation I wanted them to avoid so bad so I watched until the season ended and considered it a proper ending for the story of Barry Allen, quit there.Definitely more. The season 1 finale got me all choked up (not as much as Kevin Smith) but enough. So disappointing to see it fall so far...
You should probably ignore it.Out of curiosity, I still intend to check it out. I'm not finishing where ever I left off on s4.
I don't know, to me, a DC film universe without Superman, and focusing on the more ground-based heroes is just not as interesting to me. I am very leery of the direction they are going in, but as of now, I am just not that interested. Things can change, but that's my current state.
I hear ya'. I too would love to just keep getting mythic stories about these gods & monsters. If they're going ground-based, adapt the other more cooler teams.
Yeah they're definitely not abandoning the whole "mythic stories about gods & monsters" stuff, just Superman for the time being. They're tackling a fairly wide variety of DC properties from where I'm sitting, and I consider that a good thing.Yeah, some of the movies planned with ground-based heroes are Birds of Prey, Batman and Suicide Squad 2 (besides, Elseworlds Joker movie), but that's not the only movies they are going to release/ produce.
We already have Aquaman, Shazam and Wonder Woman 84, then Flash is going into pre-production stage soon, after that we have green-lighted New Gods movie which is anything but grounded.
Rumored movies coming after that are Supergirl and Batgirl, but things can change.

This is about where I’m at. There was nothing more I wanted than to get excited for DC Films going forwards..but the Superman front is so dire and depressing that my enthusiasm is all but zilch.
Blame, thank, I'll do what comes to mind first.
This really has a negative effect on me.

Lol.
Homer Simpson: "Whenever I see a DC logo, I immediately fall asleep."
What I find sad is that when someone actually likes a DC movie he/she feels necessary to put a disclaimer like- "I liked (WW/ MoS/ ...) movie, but I'm not a DC fan" it's as if they fear the backlash that would come if they openly admit they they are a DC fan.
People should just feel free to talk like Lawrence Fishburne, Topher Grace, and Marc Webb "We are fans happy with what we got, as fans we are glad we got this work and get to watch it".What I find sad is that when someone actually likes a DC movie he/she feels necessary to put a disclaimer like- "I liked (WW/ MoS/ ...) movie, but I'm not a DC fan" it's as if they fear the backlash that would come if they openly admit they they are a DC fan.
If you like movie then you are a fan, no need for a disclaimer, like I liked Raimi's first two Spider-man movies and thought Marc Webb's TASM was good Spider-Man movie, second one was also good in parts, even though some people hate it.
It seems some of the look of the characters were based on the voice actors themselves.
Not for Peter & MJ.
Even though Yuri Lowenthal & Laura Bailey voiced the characters, their likeness' (via motion capture) were actually provided by these two actors:
(John Bubniak & Stephanie Tyler Jones)

It's so sad that DC is now the butt of so many jokes.
