Justice League Lounge of Justice - Part 81

Fallen Kingdom needed a better script, Bayona managed to make an entertaining movie with a mediocre script. There are few tense moments in the film, like the opening scene where Mosasaurus escapes into the Ocean. The part where a Brontosaurus is left to die on an Island with active Volcano was heart-breaking.

Dude!! I was just thinking of that part!! Such a beautiful shot!!

Bayona definitely knows how to communicate so much emotion in single frames, he definitely has that "painter" quality; and yeah, the tension in several parts of the movie was done beautifully.

I actually enjoyed The Meg quite a bit (except from Li Binbing who was just awful). More than Rampage and Jurassic World FK anyway.

I actually just finished watching Solo and it was better than what I thought it would be. Honestly out of TFA, TLJ, and RO I would actually prefer this movie. I do wonder though how it was originally supposed to look or be.

I also enjoyed Solo more than the other recent SW films. I really liked the score too.

Trailer's great and it would've been better if they weren't trying to keep shoving Nero down people's throats, but Dante looks really weird in this game. His design is very inconsistent, in some scenes he still kind of resembles his DMC2/DMC4 portrayal, in others he looks like a grandpa. He was older in DMC4 too and he was still good-looking there.

Faces in general seems to look weird in comparison to the previous games, how come Trish went from this:

Eh, at least we'll get some nice demon slaying.
I rather like the more realistic Trish. She looks kinda cute.

with barbara gordon, ivy and catwoman not in the film and harley supposedly being a member of the BOP, my interest has kinda gone down

I don't blame Fallen Kingdom too much on Bayona since he was working from a bad script. Hopefully he gets another shot at something soon.

Yeah I don't have a problem with any of the new character models.

I'm surprised at how well Solo turned out considering Ron Howard reshot 70% of the movie. Impressive. And the VFX was really good too.

Yeah, both Solo and Rogue One turned out to be pretty decent movies despite re-shoots, so one would expect the same result with JL... :(

WB should have followed what Lucas Film (Disney) did and given more time and budget to JL, sure with such enormous budget the movie would have bombed but at least it would have saved their face and reputation to say nothing about JL brand.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but I still maintain that if they were so upset with the response to BVS, then they should have just bit the bullet and delayed JL until they could completely revamp it from the ground up with a new creative team. It would have been expensive since a lot of pre-production work was already in place, but they ended up losing a bunch of cash anyway, so it's not like that mattered in the end.

Like I said it was not about earning Cash (it would have bombed) but saving JL brand name and DCEU's face. But they cared more about their Bonus so..

Now that's a villain number one. I wonder if he is going to catch Batman on the run.

We should follow his lead, maybe even sneak around.

god I hope Joker is a big hit for them

The Elseworlds label being a success for WB would be the best thing possible. Quality talent would flock at the chance to make their very own low budget one-off stories without the pressures of multiple film commitments and box office/critical success.

Not to mention WB would be bringing something completely unique to the genre, a nice consolation to the shared universe stuff not achieving the level success they anticipated.
