I can’t wait to see these in 4K. I would love for the Wachowski’s to try and create something else’s on that level for the 2020s.
Highly recommended mate, the picture quality is outstanding and the hdr really makes a difference.

I'll watch the 3rd one this week if the wife goes out one night.

I present you Assassins (1995) written by Wachowskis, directed by Richard Donner.

How have I never heard of this!:applaud

He was in Hostiles apparently. I don't remember him at all.

I don't either. lol

He was just big pile of meh in Interstellar. And no, before anyone comes in with CMBYN, he was the weakest of the actors there too for me. Hammer and Stulhbarg were better in that than him for me. Eh.

Awesome. I watched the hotel lobby scene up to the helicopter going in the building on repeat a few thousand times on my home cinema setup back then. And Reloaded has loads of amazing action that takes advantage of a good setup too. Really looking forward to seeing the visual upgrade on the Matrix films.

Alfred: One day, I saw an overweight woman park in a disable parking spot chewing gum the size of a tangerine, and bring with her a used McDonald's soda cup, she walked inside and filled up, didn't pay and walked out.

Bruce: But why didn't she just pay the 50 cents to refill?

Alfred: Some women aren't looking for anything logical after wearing sandals with socks, like love or compassion. They can't be asked on , reasoned, or flirt with. Some women just want to watch the world burn.

Damn. The hate for Eddie Redmayne in these parts rivals my own dislike of Eisenberg.

Redmayne just plain awful as an actor to me. lawd.

Punchable face and all that, same with Chalamet. Miles Teller has a punchable face too, but at least he is talented. Whiplash is my jam.

I hear you. I personally don't have a problem with him, but I've noticed that virtually everyone else does. Haven't seen anything with Timothy C. except for that overrated coming-of-age movie with Saoirse Ronan. He was just there.

Yeah, Whiplash is one of those rare movies that leaves you speechless. Teller was good in that.

Eisenberg is like poison to me, though. I was actually watching BvS again the other day. Everything was flowing smoothly until that goddamn basketball court scene. If it didn't detract from the movie as a whole, I'd skip it along with every other scene he's in. Alas, that's not really an option since he's the villain of the piece.

Anyone still playing RD2? I like it, but also have trouble playing more than an hour or so at a time. Just feels like it takes so long to do basic things.

I can't stand ANY of these guys, lol. I do love Whiplash, but it didn't make me like Teller. I just consider it a role he was too perfect for. Same for Eisenberg and The Social Network.

For the bastahs who have seen MANDY:

The Mysterious Stranger is a novel attempted by the American author Mark Twain. He worked on it intermittently from 1897 through 1908. Twain wrote multiple versions of the story; each involves a supernatural character called "Satan" or "No. 44". All the versions remained unfinished (with the debatable exception of the last one, No. 44, the Mysterious Stranger).

I like Eisenberg, but he's one of those dudes I think has limited range. I can't even watch him in those Now You See Me flicks because I can't stop laughing when I see them trying to position him as some sort of sexy leading man.

Dane DeHaan too.

Unless his career takes a bad turn, I'm pretty certain Tom Holland would be seen as a leading man type for decades to come.

I couldn't stop laughing at his attempts to portray an assertive alpha male (as "James") in The Double. There's one scene in particular where the character demeans and intimidates a waitress, and it's ridiculously unconvincing. No one would tolerate that kind of behavior from someone of Jesse's countenance and demeanor unless he was a figure of authority or someone of influence.

It reminds me of that Bitter Sweet Symphony video where Richard Ashcroft is shown bumping into random people as he casually strolls down the street. In real life, he'd be dead.

That said, I did really love Jesse in The End of the Tour with Jason Segel. They played off each other well.

As Spiderman/Peter yes, but can't see him be a leading man in the same way Dicaprio is, he doesn't have the height for it. lol He kinda reminds me of the midget dude from the Hunger Games movies. I honestly can't see myself ever spending some cash on any of his none Spiderman movie roles, and I didn't even pay to see Homecoming.

I liked The Double. Good double feature with Enemy.

Having rewatched Star Trek: Into Darkness, I really think Abrams' aesthetic lends itself to the kind of imagery we often see depicted in Superman's world. These visuals in particular from Birthright are just begging for his reimagining on the big screen.
