:wow:

Thanks for posting. It looks insane. Posting this in Aquaman sub-forums.

Now let’s see him publicly trash WB, the studio who actually mandated all those changes to his friend’s movie

Whedon is responsible for the obvious look of the reshoots as he was the director. Not WB. He couldn’t even get hair and make up to look fluid. Freaking hack.

Having rewatched Star Trek: Into Darkness, I really think Abrams' aesthetic lends itself to the kind of imagery we often see depicted in Superman's world. These visuals in particular from Birthright are just begging for his reimagining on the big screen.

I always saw Birthright as the way Smallville should've ended. I am still pissed that they wanted to make Smallville's finale a Superman movie with Welling actually putting on the suit at the start of the finale and him saying no and them having CGIman instead.

While I'm not praising Whedon's work on JL, I doubt anyone could have produced something great in his position.
Imagine being given someone else's film and told to radically change the story, tone, and character arcs, while cutting it down to 2hrs.
Oh, and you have just a couple of months, you have very limited access to the cast and one of the stars has grown a beard which you can't shave but neither can it appear on screen.
I'm not saying Whedon went about it the right way, but who could have actually pulled this off?
Who could have come in when Whedon did, met WB demands and produced a great film?

Its kind of amazing how Whedon went from geek God just a few years ago to a pariah now. I know part of that has to do with his personal life drama but I feel like JL nailed his coffin. The hate i see spewed at the guy these days...yeesh.

and who's fault is it that they decided to completely change the DNA of the entire film just months before release, because it took them 6 years to finally realize the mistake they had made

Again, I’m not talking about anything else other than the fact that he couldn’t even make the reshoots look like they should. Movies have reshoots all the time, many times just two months before release, and I’ve never seen it look more obvious.

I would have called in Tarsem Singh or Noam Murro. Heck, Brett Ratner would have even been a safer replacement.

I said it before, but the scheduling for the filming was what ultimately did them in. It was amazingly arrogant to schedule JL to begin shooting so soon after BVS.

As Spiderman/Peter yes, but can't see him be a leading man in the same way Dicaprio is, he doesn't have the height for it. lol He kinda reminds me of the midget dude from the Hunger Games movies. I honestly can't see myself ever spending some cash on any of his none Spiderman movie roles, and I didn't even pay to see Homecoming.

Height never worked against Cruise, bruh.

Are we even allowed to say "midget" anymore? Thought the PC police destroyed that too. Guess it's okay as long as it's not describing an actual little person.

Will People magazine prove to be blind twice in a row?

The choice is pretty clear.... :D

Just came back from California, where I was able to take the WB Studios Tour. The tour was excellent and I of course enjoyed all the DC/Batman stuff. They had Aquaman's new costume front and center in the DC display. May have just been a passable replica suit, but the new orange duds didn't look that great in person.

At what stage did you think that? Because there's no way that story, much as I also like it, would have worked or been adaptable for the show past maybe the seventh season.

The way I understand it.....dwarfs prefer to be called "little people"....they consider the word midget as offensive. Dwarf is the actual medical term for their condition.

It is clear....and yet they never showed up at my house to take pictures of me....I am saddened by this.

I couldn't stop laughing at his attempts to portray an assertive alpha male (as "James") in The Double. There's one scene in particular where the character demeans and intimidates a waitress, and it's ridiculously unconvincing. No one would tolerate that kind of behavior from someone of Jesse's countenance and demeanor unless he was a figure of authority or someone of influence.

It reminds me of that Bitter Sweet Symphony video where Richard Ashcroft is shown bumping into random people as he casually strolls down the street. In real life, he'd be dead.
I bet some of the people in that video went for him even though they were paid not to. :D:

They were too busy filming Idris Elba vaporizing Blake Shelton over the previous results.
