@flickchick85 drives around in the snowy snow, a goddamn snow storm. She has a short skirt, yellow heels, and a ''Frankie Says Relax tshirt'' clothing not appropriate for this weather. She takes a quick look at her pink lips in the mirror when we hear a loud mass of something go underneath her car, she ran over something or someone. She rolls down her window and looks at the figure of a very bruised man in pain:

Flick: Oh, My God! Are you Stephen King?

The man replies: No. I'm Dean Koontz.

Flick: Oh. ugh! She puts the car in reverse and runs him over again.

and it's this blue in the movie! Remember JL trailer how it was blue and then in the movie so muted? Dolph Lundgren's daughter leaked 3 seconds of the movie (lol) and it was so colorful and vibrant not muted at all
To be fair in a lot of things in JL wasn't what was promised to us.

The Dirty Dozen

Man, they sure don't make them like this anymore. I can't think of any modern American actor who has that tough ''mans man'' type thing about him. They all now come from foreign lands, British. Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson enough said. Plot is simple. Get a dozen of soldiers on death row and train them to kill Nazis. Tarantino took many moments and plot ideas from this pic for Inglorious Basterds. Marvin was drunk for 80% of the filming and the crew had to practically drown him in coffee every single day for filming. They say Bronson grabbed him in a headlock and threw him in a river, so he'll get ''sober'' quicker, which I found that to be hilarious. A goddamn classic. Fantastic double feature with IB.

Really? Aquaman imagery look so over-done to me. That weirdly overburnt color grading.

To me, Aquaman looks like it could be a Zack Snyder movie. It looks like it has the same stylistic sensibiities as 300 or Man Of Steel. Its definitely a lot more crisper and more colorful than a Zack movie but to me it evokes that same style.

Agreed, that's one of the reasons why the movie feels like it has "Zack's DNA" (others being of course the cast, backstory, etc); it has that "larger than life" and "mythic" quality and flair that very few movies in the genre have, that whole "comic book brought to life" thing. Zack is the master of that, and Wan seems to be right up there too :hmr:

Finally time to watch Venom, boys and girls...

oh have a great time!

I sincerely believe Hardy's delivery of "HOLY ****!" when he is escaping on motorcycle should be enough to win him Best Actor in a just world :funny:

Yea, this is exactly how mythic the film feels...

I was merely referring to the visual aspects of it, not the humor, which honestly I dig too, although I'm "wait and see" -like with every movie- I've really enjoyed the humor in the Wan movies I've seen so far.

Roma's been sweeping up the awards. Can't wait until it's up for streaming. Insta watch.

Not a fan of how they are doing my boy Ted Kord and acting like he was never the Blue Beetle anymore.

Hey he may still show up in some capacity. Unless they just omit the previous Blue Beetles entirely.

WB's been sitting on a gold mine with this property.

Speaking of Venom.... (You can tell the influences/parallels they'll explore onscreen)

Cool, a young latino super hero brings something new to the table, this is a property with great potential and remember, just because it might be "on the works" (pretty sure I've heard that about the project before) it doesn't mean it's happening in the next couple of years; studios do early development in countless movies all the time and always have, we just heard it all (although mostly information pulled out of someone's rectum) at once.

Just hope they at least pull a "Hank Pym" with Ted Kord.

I assume Ted could play the mentor role, like he did in recent Blue Beetle comics. Though it's true that DC has been treating the guy horribly for quite a while now.
