More than decade after this movie and we still don't have Hugh Jackman cloning machine.

Science failed me.

When I first saw that movie poster I thought it was for Equilibrium, a movie I wanted to know its name to watch. I'm thankful for being able to enjoy both movies.

The Prestige is one of those films that stays with you long after you've already left the theater. Donnie Darko is another.

Stranger to think some of us are grandparents now. :wow: :oldrazz:

I just turned 30 and and my baby girl is 7 months old. To think I could be 40 and she'd be 10 by the next time we see another Superman film sends quivers down my spine. There isn't an icon that gets more boned than Superman. Frustrating as all hell to pay but I'll be here waiting. As long as it takes.

Aquaman was lucky to film when it did or WB would have sidelined it too.

This is why a film must have a good director with good relationship with the audience with a solid gameplan and vision. It would have been a shame not to see what Wan cooked up. He did something fantastic with Aquaman. Dude is a BEAST.

Pretty much what I expected. WB going with what's currently trending.

Nah, Aquaman was always going to be made as it had James Wan backing it, he showed interest in making Aquaman. Currently, WB's running out of IP's to make DC Comics based movies as Matt Reeve's "The Batman" is not ready, same for Suicide Squad and Flash is not going to be in production soon, so only options that were before them are keep making movies on Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Harley Quinn. And try relatively newer properties like Shazam, New Gods, Blue Beetle and Zatanna. I doubt Batgirl and Supergirl are really going ahead.

As for Superman, they consider it to be a difficult property so they will wait till some director approaches them with a great pitch, for GL, I dunno what's holding up that, maybe WB is too scared of the property ?

What can I send James so that he does a sequel for sure?

Flowers?
Mini muffins?
A kidney?

If Godzilla KOTM is received well, maybe WB would think about Michael Dougherty for MoS2. I wonder if Michael Dougherty (Trick 'r Treat) would be interested in writing-directing another Superman movie. (he did write Superman Returns with Bryan Singer and Dan Harris) but now he is writing and directing Godzilla KOTM for WB.

Happy birthday! I can't say I agree with your assessment of Superman's treatment given that he's had more films and other projects in other media than most, including Wonder Woman who only started to get the attention she deserves, especially since in just a few weeks there will be a three episode crossover on TV featuring Superman and a new animated film sequel (Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen will play briefly in theaters as a double feature). I've found that whenever one thing wasn't to my liking, like the New 52 comics, there has been something else to enjoy (e.g. MOS). He's not really comparable to other iconic superheroes either considering his history in media starts so much earlier than theirs. I can agree that Superman has struggled to have an unqualified success for awhile, but he's also gotten a lot more chances than most would with his track record.

I'm sure Jason would be able to convince him to return for a sequel. We all know Wan already has a rough idea for the next Aquaman movie with Black Manta as the main villain.

Happy Birthday ! I hope we don't have to wait another 10 years for a Superman movie.

Happy birthday. Welcome to the 30s club. It's not as bad as it sounds. Superman is a timeless character, so I think I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to get a good movie.

Happy Birthday. Now lets hope we're not all in a senior living community by the time the next Superman film hits the big screen.
