Eh, Derrickson can be a bit too sensitive at times, but this guy was being a dick. Still, his mere 2k followers, he shouldn't get that much attention from a hollywood director, fam.
I still don’t see what started it and prompted that that post from Derrickson he’s responding to, but whatever. Seems like a random exchange I don’t have a reason to care about, lol. People being rude on Twitter, news at 11.
Jerry O'Connel in one panned in shot on the hospital bed from Scream 2 looks like Superman in some sketches from the early 2000s. More fitting knowing that he voices Superman these days.
On a completely unrelated note; Jason Momoa confirmed that this scene...
...was his "exit" in Zack's cut of JL, and that Aquaman pretty much picks up after that.
He said that he was with Vulko and Mera, and they tell him that there's trouble coming from the depths and he's like "I gotta go see my dad" and jumps on the truck; he also kinda revealed the opening scene in Aquaman...
So it picks up from the scene above more or less, he's on his way to visit his dad, but then the submarine situation happens and then after that he goes to meet with Thomas Curry.
I wasn't really upset by the spoiler, since I expected the movie to start with that sequence anyways.
So AQUAMAN is in line with Snyder’s canon, not the theatrical JL version. So lot of people who brought this up as a reason why the Snyder cut might mess with continuity or that Wan was moving away from what Snyder did story wise, were wrong. Wan basically ignored the JL ending, and I think that might have been a reason of contention during reshoots.

I honestly think that none of our current or past directors had problems with Snyder's original plans and werr able to work well with him before he was uncermoniously fired.

I'd say that seems to be the case. Largely because Snyder was vocal about not wanting every movie to feel the same and allowing the filmmakers to do their own things.

Anyone at Wb who thinks that CRazy rich asian will do well in any part of Asia is either someone who knows nothing about asia or just plain idiot.
People already have to watch super rich people swanning all over the news everyday. What else is new? Like even a celebrity buying a super expensive handbag would make headline (granted not the serious news but the equivalent of western tabloid but again, another thing is a big part of the culture there haha. So really, CRA to asian asians is just old cliched in different settings.
Korean dramas always have at least one uber rich family’s heir falling in love with cinderella.

I also think that people are reading way too deeply into Momoa's comments about it following the cut ending of JL. Aquaman is probably not going to heavily reference Justice League one way or another. Just about everyone who has seen Aquaman has said it's more or less standalone, which is what Wan has been saying from the beginning.
Does bring in a couple new details relative to the pre-existing screenrant exclusive
They've been bleeding viewers at a steady rate after DDs2 with Punisher managing to buck the trend.
DDs3 was higher but not nearly high enough.
Both trailers for this movie haven’t done much for me, if anything at all.
I’m not sure if it’s because I never had any attachment to the carol danvers character growing up or if it’s just because the trailers seemed kind of bland. Like I’m sure it’ll be a good movie, but I’m not getting that “holy cow I gotta buy tickets for this thing right now” feeling that I got with all the other recent marvel movies with the exception of Ant-Man and the Wasp (which I still saw opening night and very much enjoyed)
