This really is the first time I’m pissed at Marvel/Disney

All because of this pissing contest between Loeb and the film division. Feige should bring Cox and Bernthal into the MCU at the very least.

In hindsight I think the writing was on the wall for a while and probably factored into Netflix's current push to make a whole Mark Millar universe (we'll see how that goes).

Image Comics... Where you pitch your TV/movie ideas.

He can't according to reports or at least he can't bring them over as Daredevil and The Punisher.

Interstellar is my favourite Nolan film, and he made 3 about Batman!
It's a great piece of sci-fi in my book.

I've never actually had netflix, amazon prime or any streaming service. I still watch tv channels and buy dvds.

Saw Tully today. Oh my God what a horrorshow.

Now I'm in the middle of Leave no Trace and it already has more walking in it than freaking the Lord of the Rings.

I have always wondered why doesn't the DC streaming service have the more recent live movies like Superman Returns or Green Lantern or Nolan's Movies, etc. It could help them more.

first thing I noticed available on the streaming service

This may be a broader topic of conversation but...Netflix is now making me contemplate keeping their membership. I've had it for 8 years and quite honestly, their movie selection has gone down the ****ter. Theres barely anything to watch on there anymore, new or old. Amazon Prime legitimately has a better movie selection than Netflix now.

Argh, damn it but they still have Stranger Things which I freaking love. Sigh...
When other streaming services appear I might binge watch everything I want from one, cancel, and then binge-watch everything on the next till I'm back to the original.

It'll be interesting to see how the IP snatching boom across the current line-up of channels and streaming platforms shakes out. I feel there's gonna be a bloodbath coming for a lot of these streaming services for the simple reason that it's starting to miss the point of why Netflix was such a hit in the first place: a bunch of stuff in one convenient service and location. Splitting up everything across competing platforms is gonna backfire for some of the people involved.
I said this before that competition doesn't automatically always benefit the consumer despite those who argue for it in every situation. For me Netflix is and has been super-cheap for the content it offers/has offered, but competition is gradually making their offering weaker. I used to get to watch a crazy amount of content for a small monthly fee all in one place. Competition here hurts me as a consumer even if all the future streaming services charge 0.99 each. The massive loss of convenience won't be made up for by a price reduction even if they make it a free service (and I would guess the true cost of subscribing to all the future streaming services at the same time will be more than or at least in the same ballpark as just our current max subscription cost to Netflix).

$15/month? Are you guys living on the lowest income possible?

I probably will cancel my netflix subscription, to be honest.

Interstellar will always be special to me. It was the first true 70mm true imax movie that I have seen since I was old enough to remember. Also, it was probably the first time that a movie has ever really put me at the edge of my seat to that degree. I remember breathing out a huge sigh after that docking scene because it was so intense.

You must have misread as that comment makes no sense related to my post lol. I'm saying if competition reduces the price of streaming services, that makes little difference to me compared to the loss of convenience I had with being able to access everything in one place with Netflix. As in the max package at Netflix is already cheap enough (especially with the content we used to get before competition started appearing) without needing to be reduced by competition. But the bit in brackets was just saying that even if competition forces the Netflix price lower, let's say from $15 a month to $10 a month, the combined price of subscribing to Disney and the others as well as Netflix will probably be at least $15 if not higher anyway. In other words I was totally fine the way it was before competition started "helping" me.

I'm curious, what made you all sign up for Netflix to begin with? For me, believe it or not it was SPARTACUS. Back in the day Starz had a deal with Netflix where theyd air a new episode and then the next day air that episode on Netflix. I didnt have Starz but they let you watch the pilot episode on their website and i was hooked and really wanted to watch it so I pulled the trigger on Netflix and never looked back. Lol

here in Japan Netflix is the most complete streaming service when it comes to foreign TV series or Movies.
Titans is Netflix exclusive in Japan and it's safe to asume other DC streaming stuff is coming as well so for us Netflix is a no brainer.

I should stop living by that motto

I originally got it because of movie content. However, I quickly realized that it wasn't that big of a selection in terms of movies I actually was interested to watch. I did find value in the original content, but I was already on the fence if I could justify the monthly payment just for a select number of series. I think the fact that they will likely end up cancelling all the Marvel shows is enough to push me over and use the money for something else, especially since AMC stubs will raise it's monthly price next year.

I was using my ex's account who got it from the boyfriend of one of her friends lol. As soon as they broke up he changed the password, and then all hell broke loose.

I ended up getting my own to watch Attack on Titan I believe.

So on Titans it wasn't going around killing people that had Robin quit. It's just that Robin had or has a hard time getting a hold of the violence and sought for a better way just like in the comics. Also it turns out Batman just turned up the violence as well but wasn't killing people.

It's always the friends who suffer during breakups.
