Aquaman as thrilling, one of the best CBMs I’ve ever seen. James Wan did a fantastic job.

Don’t get me wrong there’s some stuff I wasn’t keen on but it was so minor it didn’t effect my enjoyment at all.

But what can you expect from a guy who damages books?.. Seriously...

Like I could have seen Aquaman already but still haven't even booked my ticket. I'll definitely watch Bumblebee this week and from what I'm hearing about Spider-verse I think that's the next film I'm gonna watch this week, so dunno about Aquaman maybe later... (Just heard some parts of the Aquaman score, I don't think I want to put myself through that.)

Well I don't consider this a spoiler but there are some moments with pop songs where I was like wtf? Why use this?

Towards the end there is a lot going on and I mean a lot. Which I loved but I think some times people can get a bit meh when there's so much happening.

There's a certain sequence towards the end to do with the trident that could leave people scratching their heads.

Some of the CG is a bit ropey and therefore a lot of the film looks cartoony at times.

Could be those factors are contributing to that.

I noticed that once or twice like when Orm explained the history to Arthur. But it didn’t bother me too much.

This is pretty evident in the footage that's been released, and has been a top complaint since the first trailer, so that part should hardly come as a surprise.

The general consensus from reviews I'm seeing is that Wan was mostly able to elevate a pretty weak script. Some critics just don't feel like it was elevated enough to recommend it.

That sounds odd, but they used Icky Thump for him during JL. Maybe it works for the character? I haven't seen the movie yet.

It was a little jarring I felt, more so a particular song when they arrive in Italy than any of the others.
