As long they continue to do so, that's fine, even when they come (eventually) back to Superman, let whoever is directing the next S-Man, they're own space & edit to give what they want, not interfere & dictate & cut 30 mins here or entire footage out (Snyder), if they have a new 'confidence' from Aquaman, then wonderful, but don't be having two steps forward and one back routine because of it.

What they need to do with Superman is get someone in who is going to make the kind of Superman movie they actually want in the first place.

Clearly Wan wanted AQM as a character, as a story, as an opportunity to give everyone his mix of adventure, horror, CBM-level fun. If WB bought into his promise & delivery of that position, then good, please allow it for somebody who as BH is saying loves Superman. As much as I like MoS, I acknowledge some will say Snyder's 'natural love' of Superman does not exist (I absolutely disagree, but that's another debate) but I also can see where they may rest that thought, next time, get a director who has Superman, running through his veins, or at least get a writer who has the character at heart and a director who knows the core values & SHARES them too, that's the key, get a person with an equal vision of moral value and you have the footing of a decent film.

The nihilist in me just can’t help but to wonder how much of this “variety” was due to the fact that they wanted to distance themselves from the Snyder stuff or they just legitimately wanted to have all their films have a unique and distinct feel.

I mean, at this point it’s whatever. I’m just happy with what we currently have, so it doesn’t matter I guess.

If only we worked in Hollywood mate could be us that makes that Superman film lol

Finally finished Red Dead 2. Took me a while to get into it as it is slow at first (couldn't play it for more than 45-hour at a time for the first week), but then it clicked and I couldn't put it down. Great game and I love Arthur Morgan. One thing,
dang, that's one one unnecessarily long epilogue.

So, for those who have seen AM, do you think all the calls to DCEU's demise are premature?

Massively, the DCEU just crossed $4 billion WW, Shazam, WW84 and Bords of Prey are on the way with more to come. The DVEU is going nowhere.

Definitely. Aquaman should get a trilogy at least after this and if it does well domestically too it will prove that audiences are still open to DCEU films.

Like the man said, good movies work better. Keep up the quality and audiences will show up.

All the reaction images from that Variety panel are gold.

It's not like WB can afford to drop DC films anyways. They don't have any other Franchises ranking in the same BO money. Godzilla/Kong is probably the closest but they share that with Legendary.

Man, I'm in no hurry to finish RDR2. There are two genres that I will never get tired of; Westerns and Samurai movies. There is an epic samurai game due out nest year too.
