Going for my second viewing of Aquaman. Impulse buy.

I woke up, cuddle with the missus a bit, booked ticket and on my way; not even coffee.

I'm literally starting my week with Aquaman. Damn straight! :aqu:

CHEEEHUUUUUUUUUU!!! :awesome:
I think it’s going to be a good week. :cwink:

Waiting for my first screening in 4 days when 90% of hype saw it already

Kermit gonna be very happy soon. :D

I saw Mortal Engines.. it wasn't bad and if you guys ever want to see a live action Metallo, check it out.

I know nothing about the books or movie, but I just assumed it was Hugo Weaving playing the green skeleton dude... turns out it was Stephen Lang!

I love how they took these two voice actors to reprise their roles for the Neversoft game, it's a win.
I'll watch it to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this show by watching it, after I'm through watching the completely unrelated 90s cartoon celebrating it's 25th anniversary.

I thought Unlimited was supposed to be a sort of continuation to the 90s cartoon? Eh, at least the theme song was cool, too.

Calling that show a continuation of the other one from the same decade is like calling Spectacular Spider-Man a movie continuation cause they took a couple of elements from the more popular adaption to include in the newer one.

Wasn't it to Spider-Man TAS what Batman Beyond was to BTAS? These two futuristic high-tech super shows aired around the same time.

As long as DC stays on this path and making great films like Aquaman by continuing to give the directors free reign but also like Feige...Hamada also gets involved in story and production of each film and WB doesn't interfere at all in marketing or anything else then I think the bias towards Marvel will start to fade or the aura behind them will not overshadow DC anymore or DC will be on equal footing in media/criticism but only as long as they continue to put out great films...don't expose us the fans to any of the production but make us wait much like what Wan did for Aquaman then DC can ride even more positive momentum not just with Shazam but with every other future movies going forward in the DCEU

Manabyte spoiled the entire movie months before marketing kicked off.

What I meant is don't show us too much too soon in the trailers by not giving away too much and also if DC adds more mid and post credits scenes to their films then just maybe DC can wet some appetites

If I read one more opinion that Aquaman is 'cgi heavy'.....I know James Cameron is out there teaching kids to hold their breath underwater or whatever for Avatar number 10000 but do people expect Wan to endanger lives to avoid the film being 'cgi heavy'? :funny: I can't, I can't :funny:

In these two ideas they are similar, but their execution is completely different. Batman Beyond is without doubt a continuation with a different character in the future of the world we got used to since 1992. Spider-Man Unlimited is set in an alternate Earth of an alternate cartoon Earth (that line sounds too needlessly complicated, even for people immersed in comic book science) that gave the impression to some people that it is a loose continuation, but the more you watch it the more inclined you believe it is not a continuation.

Oh no, a modern science fiction superhero movie that is CGI heavy.
REBOOOOOOOOOOOOT.

I mean you just can't shoot underwater. Why no complaints about the films set in space not being filmed in the actual space?

You mean to tell me Matthew Mcconaughey was never lost and filmed in a real black hole? Such betrayal to method acting.

People whine too much about entertainment sometimes.

People saying that are just desperately searching for something bad to say about the movie at that point. I mean, come on, people. Its an underwater movie.

How does anyone expect an Aquaman movie to not be full of CGI? Especially one where Atlantis is a primary location? And it was top notch CGI, we’re talking. Some of the best I’ve recently seen.

Complaining for the sake of complaining, gotta laugh at it.

To paraphrase "I know it's impossible to shoot underwater but Hollywood should have tried!" :lmao:
