I had to rehome my dog in October. I just found out the lady who had him had to have him put down today. I’m absolutely devastated

I'm very sorry to hear that.
I feel your pain.
One of mine also passed away several months ago. Grateful for all the time we had.
I mourn for our fallen buddies. They can't be hurt anymore. They won't forget us, and we won't.

I hope The Fountainhead goes to Netflix (as far as I know, it'll be a series), although as far as I know, WB owns the rights to that, so more than likely it'll go to HBO.

Which I'm perfectly cool with, cause I have both....

I love that, while still being focused on the titular team, Young Justice is a show that showcases the larger DC universe and all of its players, I think it's probably one of the best things in animation from a technical and storytelling point of view, just love it.

By the way, to fellow Snyder fans around here, may I have a word with you? I understand that many of you guys feel "betrayed" by the turn that DC has decided to have with their movies, making them more "fun" and mainstream friendly (which, by any kind of logic, is what a major movie studio would choose to do with their big IPs, of course), and many feel resentful about the treatment of Snyder by the studio, but here's the thing: It's unhealthy, for you. To remain resentful and actually spend time and energy expressing resentment towards a business for making business decisions is futile at best; I'm not defending what they did, the same way I wouldn't defend Tesla or Microsoft or whatever company for making decisions based on their best economic interest...it's way outside my corner of the world that, why would I concern myself with that?? Alright, I'm derailing a little bit...

You know who - I'm willing to bet - is not resentful of the studio?? Zack Snyder. He has a - as far as recent information has been available - still working relationship with them, his "first look" deal was extended by Emmerich around the time of the JL fiasco and he's working with WB still on The Fountainhead; he might have and might still be upset (understandably) over the situation, but I'm willing to bet the guy knows better than to be resentful and hold grudges because, first, he understands the business; that's how this business goes, you win some you lose some and sometimes your big project ends up being ruined by some idiot suit who doesn't know jack**** about art or storytelling and thinks that "the focus group thinks that instead of 300 Spartans, maybe they should be 300 puppies!!" (paraphrasing an old Snyder interview). The thing is, the guy's not burning a bridge because he probably sees that the benefits and opportunities that come with maintaining a healthy relationship with the studio outweighs any holding onto anger over things you can't really control.

What I'm trying to say to you, my fellow Snyder fans, is don't hold onto anger and resentment, because you're only hurting yourself with that, no one else. Stay zen.

Which takes me to Aquaman; I get that some of you may simply not be interested in Aquaman, and that's perfectly fine! Maybe you don't like the fairly perceived "lighter tone", or maybe you found the humor in the trailers to not be of your liking, which again, it's perfectly fine, anybody telling you that you should like it and that you're wrong is you don't is an *******, plain and simple, you like what you like.

But if you're rejecting the movie before watching it for Snyder, please don't, because just like many Superman fans who constantly and openly bully and mock those who don't share their view of who "the true Superman" is, just like them you'd be going against everything the man stands for. I'm a huge Snyder fan, I'm obsessed with the guy; I used to be a Snyder detractor and would adhere to the usual criticisms against him, and at a certain point (can't remember when exactly, but before MoS surely) I decided to revisit his movies and take another look, and I completely fell in love with them, all of them in major or minor degree (I will go to the grave defending Suckerpunch as a work of misunderstood genius) and fell in love with what he's trying to achieve as an artist and storyteller, and his obvious love of the CB medium and what this characters can represent not only as character but as symbols, archetypes and ideologies, and despite what your particular reading of his movies might be, there's one thing for certain, he believes in artistic freedom and expression.

He supports Aquaman. He supports Jason and James and the whole team. He supports the idea of these movies having different tones and feels, because he understand that that's how movies work, that's how comics work.

Aquaman is a perfectly worthy addition to the DCEU universe as established by the previous movies; do I wish the writing/dialogues and subtext was more like in the Snyder movies?? I can't even answer that because during the developing process of a movie you brainstorm ideas to decide (or to try to anticipate) what will work and what will not, and maybe they landed on what Aquaman needed as a character and movie considering the current movie climate, the previously cemented perception of the character in pop culture, etc.

The thing is...my thing is...one thing doesn't replace the other; enjoying Aquaman is not betrayal of your Snyder fandom (hell, Aquaman made me wanna rewatch MoS and WW on repeat until I get that sweet Aquaman DR), you can (and would more than likely benefit) from enjoying different tones and approaches with these movies. My life's motto: Why pick one if you can enjoy them all??

Possibly. Mike Mignola was a writer for the new one, so I can't see him leaving that out.

I wasn't speaking to anyone in particular with that post, I've just seen plenty of that attitude in other parts of the internet and thought maybe there's some people here who feel that way.
