but hey, they're clearly going for a Thor 3 approach, so it might turn out to be a classic, it's a "strange" director after all

Yeah, it seems they're going for the comedy, Ragnarok/GotG approach, which doesn't really bother me; when done right, I find it entertaining, and it looks like this might be crazy fun.

I won't be surprised it they take the same route with SS2, and I can see it fitting if the movie is consistent tonally, I would just expect some darker humor maybe, I don't know...if it's entertaining then it's entertaining.

Yeah, I know! They just didn't do it right!

Actually, I'm one of those that - except for a few things here and there and the final fight - don't find SS to be THAT bad; it's maybe my second least-favorite DCEU movie and there's plenty to like in there (and I'm unapologetically a Leto Joker fan) and I don't see it being worse than your average CB/action/adventure movie.

But you can tell when the tone of something was changed midway instead of being intended like that from the get go, when the latter, the results are much better.

I really want that GSC movie and I'm sure they turned GCS into BoP+Harley when they realized they couldn't use Selina yet.
I read on a non reliable source that it would be a trilogy like this: Bop, GSC and GSC v BoP. I'm all for it.
