When even Snyder himself supposedly wanted solos before the big team up, I just don’t see how you can still try to jump to the finish line before laying the groundwork.

There’s a very small chance they could’ve just skipped to JL and make it the success that it should have been. They’d either need an accomplished director who could guarantee a win at the box office or an all star cast, and JL had neither of those.
Personally I think the plans were as Snyder said before him doing his MOS sequel with a Bruce Wayne cameo for the post credits scene. Then maybe some other solo movies followed by BvS and then JL.

A Batman post credit for MOS would’ve been great

Even a shot of him sitting in front of the bat computer with that message from Zod would have made people go wild

JL could've been handled better, sure. I still don't see any reason to think it needed all this build up. It just needed to be a better movie.

Ah I see. I can imagine heavy prosthetics might be a bit much for an actor on a TV show with prominent screen time. I like Barnes a lot though, so I won't complain if the performance is good, which I'm sure it will be.

Still though, it's hard to shake the image I had in my had given all the damage Frank did to him. I'll get over it though.

Yeah, I know! They just didn't do it right! :D

Actually, I'm one of those that - except for a few things here and there and the final fight - don't find SS to be THAT bad; it's maybe my second least-favorite DCEU movie and there's plenty to like in there (and I'm unapologetically a Leto Joker fan) and I don't see it being worse than your average CB/action/adventure movie.

But you can tell when the tone of something was changed midway instead of being intended like that from the get go, when the latter, the results are much better.

ya it's fine as entertainment and could have been so much better if Ayer got more than 6 weeks to write the script and Tsujihara didn't Steppenwolf the whole thing with his axe

Btw, could have made a billion if they inserted a Pitbull song somewhere

BoP vs GCS sounds pretty damn conventional superhero v supervillain stuff, unless the movie treats the BoP as the bad guys from the primary GCS pov

I thought about that too, GCS doing stuff then get chased by Batgirl and co

vs is more like a fun night out rather than gloomy end of the world for this franchise I guess, I mean, look at the BOP title lol

Jason vs Freddy had that super fun blood bath at the end lol, that type of vs

will probably end with a 3rd party villain as usual

Ya it's pretty obvious Zack kept on talking about MOS2 around 2012/2013, so the Bat cameos/bonus scenes could have lead to his own film before BvS then we have solos for Aquaman/Flash/WW etc....

the buck stops with those suits and they messed up and put Snyder, Johns, Whedon etc out in the firing line, not to mention messing with Affleck's pet project by making him doing re-writes for JL

So will Billy Russo's face get more messed up or is that pretty much the extent of it?
With our luck it’ll get even more f’d up at the end of the season and we’ll never know what happens after.

I’m still kinda disappointed we didn’t get Barracuda as the S2 big bad, but I love Frank so I’m excited regardless

Never Goin' Back

Female lead stoner comedy. One that is actually good. A good double feature with Superbad. Camila Morrone is a goddamn star. The camera loves her and I think the DP does too cause some of them shots go low and straight to her backside. Dicaprio is a lucky man. This has a bit of Springbreakers vibe to it, like these gals could easily be part of that crew. 8/10

I still sometimes forget that both Wonder Woman and Justice League came out in the same year.

"Congratulations mutha*****, she's a *****"
That is the quote I remember most from that villain.
