King of the Monsters is under-performing big time at the BO :(

&

there's that damn Champions League final between Liverpool & Tottenham

They should've got Diddy back to do the theme song.

Except it’s not successful on ALL fronts - the big “interconnection” moment failed spectacularly. So all I’m saying is, just forget it for a while, and focus on what IS working. I’m not saying to boot the successful incarnations of WW and AM, I’m saying that by the time they get around to having a group ready to join forces again, those two will naturally be ready to bow out, so let them. You don’t have to bend over backwards to explain the different universe thing, or explain it at all- it will just naturally feel that way, and that’s fine. Just let the filmmakers make their movies without forcing a grand interconnection plan onto them. If they want to throw out a reference or two to other heroes, then let them do that too. And then when you’ve got a good group of heroes established, bring ‘em together when the time feels right (which I’m just saying likely wouldn’t be til Gal and Jason are about done with their runs).

Yup. I don't see Reeves sharing his Batman at all. lol

I never once believed he would be following where Snyder left off or that this would be a younger Batfleck version type thing. It just never made sense to me. I'm definitely salty about Battinson never sharing the screen with Gal and Cavill tho. Gal and Patty will most likely finish their run with a third film and I see Momoa sticking around just as much Hemsworth has, IF they want him to, but either of those two won't be connected to Battinson at all. I see Margot continue with GCS and probably a HQ solo with maybe Poison Ivy aka their version of Thelma and Louise. Get a Batgirl movie going and then Supergirl. Reboot Superman and then FINALLY rebuild and work towards an epic JL film again. After what MCU did with ENDGAME, I don't see DC/WB in a hurry to do a JL flick again.

I will add that I think not having a WW and Aquaman teamup flick is money left on the table tho! Same thing with not getting to the other female characters. A WW-Batgirl-Supergirl team up flick would make Bank if done right and not to mention have good will from everybody even before it started filming. Eh.

Superman Reboot:

Nicholas Hoult- Superman
Rachel Brosnahan- Lois
Ryan Gosling- Lex Luthor
Big no to Hoult. Like the other two, though.

I just started watching Deadwood. 3 episodes in and already love the hell out of it.
 If you haven't noticed yet, much of the dialogue is written in iambic pentameter. A true Shakespearean Western. What's not to love?

Have y'all seen Accident Man?? If not, then see it stat. It's awesome. It's pretty much Deadpool without the 4th wall breaking stuff (I know that sounds like it doesn't make any sense but it made sense to me dammit). I would say it's closer to the tone of Shoot 'Em Up (which has one of the greatest of all time hammed up-to 11 performance in any movie ever by Paul Giamatti).

Accident Man is so much fun. My man Scott Adkins just kills it. He is so f**king good. He wrote the movie as well which surprised me because it reminded me of early Guy Ritchie (nowhere near as good as Ritchies's early work but reminiscent of it).

It has two outstanding action sequences i.e a 2v1 of Ray Park & Michael Jai White against Scott Adkins and a one on one between Adkins and Amy Johnston. Both set-pieces are absolutely brilliant. Side note, Amy Johnston is so f**king hot :ilv:

A year ago I thought the claims of Wonder Woman 1984 somehow having a Flashpoint type moment that resets history was absolute bull****. After all this I'm honestly not sure anymore. New Batman is one thing, but a new Batman plus (from the looks of it) Henry, Ezra and Ray being out with most of the Suicide Squad cast, Gal and Jason staying...that might be something they at least try to handwave.

Hoult would need to suddenly not have the face of a 14 year old boy and have to put on like 30 pounds of solid muscle to convince me from a physical standpoint
This. I mean, I find even Cavill's face too boyish for Supes at times, but he's the damn Brawny lumberjack compared to Hoult.

the timeline is easy to fix

Remove MoS, BvS, JL, SS from continuity, cavill/affleck are gone so...

New DCEU

1. Wonder Woman
2. Aquaman
3. Shazam
4. Birds
5. WW84
6. Battinson
7. SS re-do

Fixed

inb4 someone mentions that 1 steppenwolf line from Aquaman as if it matters

Only recent rumor I know of is the stealth formation of the JSA through Shazam's & WW's backdoors.

BOP is interesting

Before we saw anything we all assumed Margot and Yan would do what Reeves is doing and completely reboot. Instead they're carrying over from Ayer's SS. Not only with Harley but with Leto's Joker as well. Was this a conscious decision on their part or a WB mandate?

As for Batman. I don't expect him to be part of any universe. It'll be isolated from everyone else like Nolan's trilogy. If WB wants to continue they'll have to recast/reboot again

SS made more money than they figured they would after all that went down.
I assumed we all assumed it'd carry over.

The Batman isn't a 90s set prequel?

Yeah, I think it is, and all the movies directed by Matt Reeves could be before the world saw Superman for the first time.

Marvel makes actors sign contracts for six movies that includes trilogies and teamup movies. I just don't understand why WB didn't get Cavill to signup for 4/6 movies, I hope this time they have Pattinson for next six/seven movies, which includes some teamup movies.

I just think it’s silly to start a new universe years from now with this new Batman. Like they already have a universe that’s finally proving successful on all fronts. Just blend him in should his take be successful as well. Seems dumb to wait for the wildly successful films they have to run their courses.

Just move ahead, not interested in reboots or watching Batman/ Superman's Origin movie again.

Just recast Cavill, if he's not showing any interest in reprising his role again, I want Superman to guest appear in Supergirl movie.

After JL and the news of Henry possibly leaving everybody was on the reboot train. You even had rumors about Harley looking completely different with no tattoos and Leto Joker being gone for good etc

Deadline said Reeves Batman has nothing to do with Batfleck so it's not a prequel. Probably another Nolan esque trilogy

Steppy is played by Johnny Depp in the reset history

WB know they F up by forfeiting Bale's batman and his people, so I am sure they would keep their options open, especially when the director has just used someone else's Ape to do his franchise, and if RP is not available, he should be free when his trilogy is done, they could RDj him.

Even Hughes article is implying this Bat is not solo, he said there will be Robin, potentially.

Seems like it's doing better overseas. Had a much bigger opening in China than its predecessor. I think the king will be fine in the long run, bruh. Don't underestimate that atomic breath.

I decided to rewatch - and God help my followers - livetweet all Matrix films next weekend. Revolutions is a disaster but I enjoy Reloaded until that horrible Architect scene

Looking it up, yeah, Reeves never said anything about The Batman being a prequel or a 90s period piece. He's been cagey about where it'll be in continuity. It's possible it could be those things but it's also possible it'll just be a reboot of the character, since if I had to guess, Bruce won't be the only recast character.

Got my tickets for Dark Phoenix, probably won't be good but I'm with this series til the end of the line.

But cotdamn, I just noticed on my ticket, it says this movie is 1hr 53mins long. The big epic finale of the Xmen saga is an 1hr and 53 mins. Which in actuality is 1 hr and 43 mins of actual movie time. 10 mins longer than Fan4stic. This is gonna be the Justice League of the Xmen movies.
