Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Reviews have been very good so far. Thought you didn't watch TV series anyway?
I still avoid liveaction ones, especially the serialized ones. Last thing I watched was Defenders.

I posted my expectation about the show in relation to Alan Moore's and Dave Gibbon's comic storyline.

That's more of a Clay-face behaviour than a Joker behaviour.

Also, I just noticed how hard it is to spell behaviour.

Giacchino is officially scoring The Batman. I like the guy, willing to hear him do something more dark and “noir.”

Meh. Reeves going with his ''Becky'' type composer taste. Hildur Guðnadóttir just did a haunting score on the joker in a Batman world. She would absolutely crush on Batman.

So did Lee's daughter and some of his friends.

I'm typing this as I'm wearing a Bruce Lee tshirt, but his ego was huge and could be a real prick. Not to mention what he did to Wong Jack Man reputation in chinatown. Tis' kinda when one pulls the curtain on legendary great men in general. Bowie use to sleep around with plenty of underage gals, but that is rarely brought up or at least no one is trying to cancel him officially.

I'm hot and cold on Giacchino, too, but he's competent enough that I think he's capable of making a good Batman score with a catchy Batman theme/motif. Will it be iconic a la Elfman and Zimmer? I don't know, time will tell.

The episode of Titans that just dropped yesterday was so damn good

amazing how much better it’s gotten since season 1, and I even enjoyed that one a lot for what it’s worth.

Eh, S2 of Titans hasn't really grabbed me much more than S1, tbh. The show on the whole just isn't doing much for me. Though I will say last week's Superboy ep was probably my favorite of the series to date.

giacchino and his work on Lost and that Cloverfield overture are absolutely top notch. His stuff on the ape films are also pretty good from the little I’ve heard.

I have no doubt that he will bring back that fantastical, grandiose feel that a Batman movie should have.

Yeah I could definitely get into a Giacchino Bat-score, as long as it's closer to Cloverfield's "Roar!" or his work on the Apes films than it is to his Marvel work.

every time he collaborates with Reeves, it definitely feels like there’s a little more effort put into those scores, or at least more of a motivation to deliver something of quality for Reeves given their long friendship.

not to diss his spider-man score which I like just fine, but yeah just like the rest of Doctor Strange, I found that score to be pretty forgettable.

You know, looking at stuff like this I'm starting to understand why WB has been so notorious for their restrictions to the DC TV department in the past Imagine if during the Nolan trilogy they decided to introduce Bruce Wayne on Smallville and Christian Bale threw a tantrum like that. There are so many different aspects to consider when it comes to bringing these characters to live-action, with stroking actors' egos apparently being some of them.
They were going to introduce Bruce Wayne on Smallville. He was supposed to be Adam the guy Lana met in rehab. Just like how Nolan threw a fit about JL: Mortal.

At what point in Cloverfield was there any music at all?

Wow, can't believe I actually saw Michael Bay at a wedding tonight.

Wait, was that confirmed? It always seemed like that were setting him up to be Bruce Wayne, then they just went in a completely weird direction with him.

Maleficent 2 was fun. Go check it out. #powermama

I should have just gone and see that for Michelle and the outfits and instead I stayed home and watched Wounds (which sucked) and Eli (which was only good because it wasn't Wounds). Freaking Netflix. Raining turds 30 days a month and occasionally they throw in one good thing lol
