Lounge of Justice - Part 90

watching robocop for kids in the late 80s was a rite of passage.

my dad rented it on vhs from the local video rental shop and we gathered around the tv for some family viewing time.

i was about 8 years old.
my parents, my bro and i all enjoyed it.

lol sort of ridiculous if you think about it today.
I watched as a kid, and I'm surprised we were allowed to watch such a violent movie back then.

I used to have a RoboCop toy as a kid. Never knew they made a cartoon about him lol
I only knew about it a few years ago, watched half of the first episode, laughed and dropped it.

Funny because in the NES game, you could kill dogs.

I think that happens in the arcade game too.

i just watched The Vast of Night off amazon prime.
a very good movie - especially considering this is from a first time director.

the film is dripping with atmosphere - there's this whole creepy sense of dread throughout.
great acting by the two leads. well written dialogue.
also some pretty cool camerawork in some sequences.

though i do think they sort of overdo it with how they frame the movie as a quasi-twilight zone episode, with some of the visuals.
and i wished they showed a bit "more" with the ending.

still, the writer/director andrew patterson is someone definitely to be paying attention to in the future of film.

You know, I think we all for the most part consider Bill Pullman the best movie President of all time but I just finished Air Force One and Harrison Ford gives him a run for his money. Ford was such a kickass POTUS in this. Damn fun movie too.

God Bless America.

Saw DCU trending, got excited, and wondered what was up and why nobody here was on top of that. Then saw it had to do with the Stargirl show and now I know why.

Should I fear for the show being exclusive to CW now. Cause I hear lots of good things about it.

Was this posted? Apparently according to Conrad(who’s hit-or-miss) Warners is working on yet another JL live action movie that will be separate from the Snyder-Verse. Take it with a grain of salt for now.

Well David Ayer retweeted it and other bloggers were hinting at it the other day.

This doesn't make sense to me unless they plan to use Flashpoint to reboot the universe. Having the JL Snyder Cut on HBO Max, having the same universe's Aquaman, Flash, and Wonder Woman in their own movies, and having a separate universe for Reeve's Batman, that's one thing. But a whole other Justice League as well?

Either this isn't real or they plan to pivot off the Snyder-verse into a DC Rebirth of sorts (possibly using Flashpoint).

Doesn't surprise me.

So no Momoa, Gadot or Miller? That sure is a choice especially when you consider that all three will be playing their characters for the foreseeable future (okay, Miller's future as the Flash is questionable)..

I will take more JL!

This is same studio that was prepared to let Nolan walk over Mortal it shouldn't shock you they would do this. I just hope the casting is good.

It does if it’s it’s own thing, with them establishing a Multiverse it could be interesting.

Imo this would be a pretty stupid decision but I'm not too worried. Just because something is in development at WB doesn't mean it's ever gonna get made (see all the DCEU movies that have been announced or rumored to be in development).

If they have some grand plan with it. Don't want the fans to be like

I could understand this decision if WW and Aquaman were both huge flops. But they're the most successful DCEU films. Keeping the Aquaman and WW franchises going while doing a new Justice League at the same time is dumb.
