I suppose this has to do with Boyega's recent comments on SW/Disney.

Gotcha. I mean, he's correct. It's obvious that despite being promoted as one of the new leads initially, nobody had any idea what to do with him and that the people making the movies cared way more about Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley. He got screwed, as did all those kids thinking they were gonna get a Star Wars movie with a black hero.

When you think of the original trilogy, it's Luke, Han, and Leia. They come as a packaged deal. All 3 are iconic. Starting with TLJ (although hints of it were there in TFA) every aspect of the story bent towards Rey (and to some extent Ren) and any other character was just in the service of that, characters just orbiting her story.

That's not good storytelling or character writing.

Movie does look like it's all over the place, but the action looks great.

They got John Waters to do the official poster for the New York Film Festival this year and it's cracking me up.

boyega really got sidelined in the SW movies, esp the last one.

disney never had a plan, no singular unified vision for the new trilogy -- when you should since you are following up to the legacy of the original trilogy.

and boyega's honesty about this is refreshing.

It's notable that he defends Abrams tho. It's obvious that he was brought back at the last minute and the way the movie turned out wasn't his fault.

It was cool, kinda all over the place to me. And I feel like they keep doing the "Everything will change!" thing with these flicks. Can't deny the action looks good though and I'm interested in the new additions to the cast.

i always LOL whenever i talk bout jackie chan movies to my wife and she sort of rolls her eyes at me because she has a personal dislike for the man - her and her friend were hanging out in LA and saw him chilling about and asked to take a photo with him but he refused to.

i think he was tryin to travel incognito for some reasons.

but my wife's got beef with jackie chan ever since.
