Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Couldn't let this go unacknowledged. Woof, that hit me in the feels. Thanks for sharing this.

Glad you got something from it breh. It hit me in all the feels that I have to take a moment to myself. Letting go of loved ones hurts on a different level. Share with your friends!

Cameo is a service where buyers pay celebs to respond or recite words back to them.

It's cool for small greetings and stuff, but this is lame as hell. Cedric got too much money to be doing this. :funny:

Ooooh i know Cameo, is that what this was? Hahaha that would explain it cuz otherwise i was like this is so random. :funny::funny:

Interesting. I was hoping Armie Hammer, but Hodge has the acting chops. I remember him all the way back on Supernatural.

Our plans was to eat healthy today, but we passed our favorite taco truck and...Tres de apastor porfavor!

Dark Knight

Tuned in when the whole boat/ferry explosive scene, back then I foolishly believed bald Nolan got it right. Now, in todays climate, both them boats would be up in flames. Sad lol.

My mans Deebo killed that scene tho!

i will get torched for saying this but I was looking forward to an Egyptian or a middle easterners getting cast in the role lol. Like a new Gadot etc. I like the dude and I watch Supernatural, he’s also in Invisible Man, but that “incarnation” talk didn’t workout for Scarlet Jo lol. Maybe they could make Hawkgirl someone from that part of the world.

That's not bad either. It depends on the version of Hawkman they are going with. Is it Katar Hol of Thanagar? Then race doesn't matter. Is it a modern incarnation (say, the 45th life of the original Egyptian life), then again, race doesn't necessarily matter unless part of the curse is that Carter tends to look the same during each reincarnation. He and Hawkwoman have convoluted origins.

I think the simplest origin is to do what they did in the JLU cartoon. Thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt, two Thanagarians, Katar and Shayera Hol, crashed on Earth. Due to some scheming, they were murdered and their Nth metal caused them to reincarnate again and again over the years until they can eliminate the origin of the "curse," either by killing the reincarnation of Hath-Set or, and I think this is more interesting, letting go of their attachment to each other or their attachment to revenge so that they can finally stop their many long years of blood-filled lives.

Anyway, so there's lots of ways to play the Hawks. To me, like Deadshot who had his race changed, as long as they still retain the essence of the character, that's the most important thing to me. Will Smith did that for Deadshot (assassin, semi suicidal, a heart in there somewhere, love for his daughter being the only thing that keeps him going). For Hawkman it's being a battle-hardened warrior, intense, aggressive in battle, often acts first and thinks second, very macho, loves Hawkwoman, and is also an Indiana Jones-esque explorer.

Hope they cast Jurnee, Karen fukuhara and MEW again in some DCEU movie or a HBO Max series.

Would like to see Killer Croc and Letoker again too.

Edit: Chris Messina, who played Zsasz said he wants to play that character again, if that's possible.

It's a bit ironic that DC films appear to have more raceswapped characters than original diverse characters, some of which have been around for as long or longer than some of their classic characters. Didn't see the point of raceswapping Black Canary while a character like Vixen is sitting on the shelf. But with Hawkman it was expected, they were never going to have a reincarnated ancient Egyptian as a white man in the modern day. Can't believe I actually entertained the Armie Hammer rumors.

With the multiverse a character dying means basically nothing. They can bring them back and say he/she is from another unnamed universe

If Ayer ever gets to do that GCS movie he can use Black Mask no problem

You won't, at least not in the safe confines of this lounge. :yay:

If a sirens movie ever happens, please get someone who isn’t David Ayer. Nothing against the guy, but WB needs to continue letting fresh talent helm these characters.

lmao at anyone wanting ayer. We need to be moving on form him and snyder for future movies. And yea ayer only had one chance but he also did the damn tattoos, Brights and the tax collector. We can do and deserve better.

No thanks to Ayer on a Sirens movie. I confess that an Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad would be a more coherent movie, but his creative choices (and subsequent work) has me unconvinced it'd actually be a good movie.

Dwayne has done the impossible and gotten me to care about Hawkman. Who'd have thunk it.
