Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I don't really understand "saving certain characters for the movies" when there's multiple Supermen, Flashes, Bruce Waynes or Cyborgs running around. Lanterns like Alan and Guy are long overdue for a live-action treatment though which I'm thrilled about. Jessica is a great character and I'm hoping this also helps Simon a bit who's been put on the back burner for a while now and that's putting it mildly. And I'm guessing that other than the obvious exclusion of Hal and John, Kyle must also either be saved for the silver screen, or maybe they thought that since his origins are directly tied to Hal, who isn't there, it won't make that much sense to have him.

Curious if they are going to make Alan Scott a member of the Corps, or if they are keeping the starheart origin?

Yea I personally thought that GL movie wasn't gonna happen. At least not for another 10 years or so. With the show moving forward it's basically 6 feet under

The fact that the show seemingly doesn't include the three most popular Lanterns tells me they have another plan for them. I think a movie is for sure happening and will probably tie into this show.

Yeah if they didn't have some sort of plan for those three then I imagine they would've just included them in the show. The absence is rather telling.

Maybe Hal Jordan is the villain, set up of the show is he went mad and killed John Stewart. The other Lanterns are assigned to hunt down Parallax who is travelling from sector to sector murdering GLs like a sci-fi serial killer.

Can you imagine the reaction from Hal fans?

Ha? If anything, the GL movie has only gotten closer to reality. Maybe 2024 at the earliest. Hal and John aren't in the show which is indicative to their plans for the movie.

Does it really matter. It's not like DC or WB gives a damn about Hal or what his fans think. They made it abundantly clear long ago they don't care much about Hal outside of portraying him as a joke. They're not invested in this character as a hero, it's hardly far-fetched to think they plan to turn him back into a villain instead. It's not like tearing down Hal to prop up other characters is anything new anyway, and I say this as a big fan of Kyle Rayner.

Zero chance of that, I'd say. Hal is very popular and one of DC's golden boys, and I don't even wanna think of the reaction they'd get from offing one of their best known black superheroes in a prologue. It'd be a bunch of needless negative publicity.

In this case the most obvious example of them still working on the movie is the simplest and most likely, imo.

Kyle Rayner is missing.

It's also missing John and Hal, the two most recognizable Lanterns. I assume they're still being saved for the movie (if that ever happens).
Series is gonna focus on Guy? I'd rather have the putz in small doses, as funny as such character can be.

If the show can be a properly made anthology series focusing on different Lanterns each episode/arc that eventually connects all plots and members as seamlessly as possible for the final season, I'll admire it and hopefully be happy with the final result.

Been watching Scott Adkins' The Art of Action videos where he talks to a bunch of martial arts and stunt pros from movies. Really cool, fascinating stuff.

Anybody start watching Haunting of Bly Manor yet? The trailer didn't grab me, but I'm still curious, cause, you know, it's October and all.

Hmmmm... no Geoff :ebr:

Nas-Undying Love

Is one of the coldest, boldest, realest songs of all time. I forgot how great it was. Nas like a true artist paints ya a picture with his lyrics. A goddamn masterpiece.

Looking forward to it.

Wtf, I just saw on Netflix that there's a new American Pie movie. They're still making these things?? :funny:
I lost track of these lol. How many are there altogether now?
